About the property

Our home is a beautiful renovated 1920's house located on the Cadbury's Estate in Claremont.

5 years ago the complete house was modernised to a high standard by a well respected builder, from the minute you step inside you will see the quality.

Polished tas oak flooring flows through out, the front part of the house has two double bedrooms complete with 32" televisions with dvd players, all beds are fitted with electric blankets.

There are two bedrooms near the main bathroom which has a double shower / double vanity and toilet, also a heated towel rail.

There is a door that separates this part of the house to the main section, great for added


The kitchen / dining / living areas are open plan, the kitchen is equipped with Bosch stainless steel appliances and stone bench tops.

The main bedroom has a 32" television, walk in robe and ensuite.

A sliding door opens out to the deck area from this bedroom.

The fourth bedroom is located downstairs with a wardrobe & toilet/vanity.

The dining table is a 6 seater modern design, with leather high back chairs.

There are 3 black leather sofa's that would seat 8+.

Main television is a huge 65" LG plasma, complete with Foxtel / dvd /surround sound.

The home is heated with panel heaters in the front 2 bedrooms for the cooler nights & an electric heater downstairs, the main living areas are heated and cooled by a Fujitsu reverse cycle unit.

The wrap around deck features polished concrete with glass balustrades for uninterrupted views over the Derwent River and the local bowling green is over the back fence, a delight to entertain. There is a modern outdoor lounge area with an electric bbq and patio heater.

There is an automatic rear gate for security and vehicle access to the double garage under the house.

Also under the home located in the garage is a fully equipped laundry with a washing machine / clothes dryer plus an extra toilet / hand basin.

Location.. Location.. LOCATION!

To top off this delightful and well presented home is its close proximity to all Hobart attractions!

One of our major draw cards in this area is Mona Museum & Art Gallery which is located less then a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute scenic walk along the water front.

Located at Mona is a ferry service ($20 per person return) which takes visitors from Mona to the Hobart water front and returns ever hour, a great way to enter the CBD. Salamanca Market is held every Saturday which is a must see for all visitors, other places of interest is the Derwent Entertainment Centre, U-bet racing venue, North Hobart main street restaurant's etc etc..

This home is located less then a sand iron away from the first tee of the 18 hole Claremont Golf Club! Which has a fully equipt pro shop & after your round you can enjoy the bar / dining facilities or if your a bowler we have cateried for you too, with the bowls club located next door to the golf club.

Directly across the road from this home is the Cadbury's Chocolate Factory.

For all your essential items there is a major shopping complex located within walking distance!

Clean, modern, quiet, comfortable!

We stayed here for 3 nights. Great location. Easily accessible and easy parking into the driveway for a large MPV. The balcony opens up to overlook the River Derwent. The house has everything we need and more - spacious, clean, modern amenities. We walked in and it was simply "Wow"! The Housekeeper was great to check in to make sure we have settled and there isn't anything amiss, and quickly let us get back to what we were doing. This is a house we would happily live in long term.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jonesys-Golf/Bowls Getaway. The home was clean large and well appointed for our extended family stay.. We were a party of 6 adults and 1 toddler and the space accommodated us comfortably with outstanding views and conveniently located for us. We will definately be back as well as recommending it to others.

Perfect for our family

A beautifully presented home which I'm almost reluctant to recommend, only because I'd like to keep it a secret so it will be available for our next Tassie holiday. It lived up well to it's description and was spotlessly presented. In a great location (right opposite Cadbury's and lovely water views) and far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough to still get there quickly. We were met by Kay, who was quick and efficient in handing over, before getting out of our hair and leaving us to it. Two small issues - the hot water ran out quickly when we were having a shower and there's no air conditioner in the master bedroom. Both of which are easily overcome. All-in-all, it was a delightful house in a terrific location and great value.

Great property, everything you need plus more. Beautiful house and felt like home for our stay. Easy access to amenities and amazing views. Such a peaceful area. Highly recommend for families and groups of up to 8. Would definitely stay here again
