Campo Mar is a Residential-Vacational complex near El Combate and Bahia Sucia beaches close to all the attractions of the area. If you are a Nature's lover and look for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place for you! Situated on a small hill between Boqueron and Combate, you will practically have the whole place for yourself, unless it is a big holiday when owners come to use their second home apartment.

You will be just 10 minute drive from ‘Boqueron Poblado’, 6 to 8 minutes from El Combate beach as well as to Playa Sucia, Playuela and Cabo Rojo’s Lighthouse and Salt Flats. Campo Mar perfect location allows you to fully enjoy all the attractions that Porta del Sol and Porta Caribe have to offer.

Very private and ample penthouse apartment with central air conditioner. First level has kitchen, dining, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Second floor has big screen TV with sectional sofa and an ample open terrace with seating area, full bathroom and a beautiful view.

Away from all the city noise, but really close to all the action. Bird watching is spectacular at Cabo Rojo's Fish and Wildlife Refuge and at Cartagena Lagoon between Cabo Rojo and Lajas.

Boqueron Beach has been awarded for the 4th consecutive year a BLUE FLAG beach. The sandy white beach is over a mile long and borders sparkling turquoise waters and is one of the most unique stretches of sand in Puerto Rico. It attracts many kinds of visitors, from social to active beach goers. The atmosphere and views help make it a great choice that everyone in your group can enjoy.

Never Again!

I rented one of the top floor apartments,, needless to say the apt was spacious and beautiful but, no one lives in that community anymore. The only place that they had street lighting was at the entrance otherwise it was like walking into a ghost town. When we got off the cars to go into the building on the 4th floor it was total darkness. No other people were staying in any of the buildings during the entire week we were there. The pool was full of frogs and bee hives and had not been cleaned in probably a few months. So of course we could not use the pool. The grounds were totally abandoned, you could clearly see there was no maintenance done in this place for a very long time. I was deathly afraid to stay alone there at night what with no electricity in the entire community. It was a very scary place to stay at. The locals told us that the people who had bought out this property just walked out one day and never came back. It is so sad that the agent does not mention any of these issues when you are discussing rental with her. I will never rent at this place again and it is sad because the apartment itself is lovely. But beware no one lives there what happened is that one or two owners are trying to get back what they paid so they rent although no one else lives there.

Owner's Response: Glad you liked our Campo Mar penthouse apartment. It is indeed a nice and very spacious apartment. Lots of things have changed since May 2015. The residents and owners have established the HOA; the grounds are well kept and the pool is in spectacular conditions. The previous pool company was replaced by a new one that is doing a splendid job. There is a lot of ground for improvement, but we are getting there. Not sure who is spreading the word that the investor company ran out... they are still here, already have all apartments at tower 5 ready for sale and towers 1, 2 are awaiting Government permits. Investors have 3 units on the vacation rental market at Campo Mar and are the ones that fixed the pool and are sharing the cost of pool maintenance with us. We are still trying to solve the common area lighting situation with the Power Company. Tower 7, where our apartment is situated, have external lighting for the stairs and parking areas then . Now we are adding more lights throughout the staircase to make it brighter at night.

Seemed kind of run down

The apartment itself was nice, except that the floors were dirty. Otherwise, it was spacious and had just about everything you needed. The full size bed was terribly uncomfortable. We ended up switching with our 3 year old for the bunk beds after the first night because we couldn't sleep, due to the bad mattress. However, he didn't seem to mind.

The complex is a bit off the beaten bath, very quiet. It seemed deserted and we didn't see any other residents around, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The balcony on the top floor provided a great view for star gazing. We were very disappointed in the grounds. It seemed that at one time they were probably very nice, but was now kind of run down looking. We specifically sought out a place with a pool, however there was algae all around it and did not appear clean at all, so we didn't even use it.

Although the the apartment itself was nice, I would not stay here again, due to the grounds and the location, which was a bit far from restaurants, beaches, for us. At the time of our stay, Balneario Boqueron was yellow flagged for bacteria and Playa Sucia was practically unusable due to the plant/seaweed that covered the beach.

Great getaway!

Excellent place to stay. Easy to find the place (just follow the instructions, hehe). The pictures didn't do justice, the place is more beautiful in person.

Great apartment, comfortable, spacious and the best part the view. You can enjoy it from the rooms as from the great terrace. Excellent for stars seen it. Definitely a great place to stay. And of course Maria was great, always available to answer questions. It was the perfect stay...

Excellent facilities for a big group. We were a group of eight and this condo/apartment was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable. Everything was provided, even beach towels. Highly recommended.
