Enjoy the shopping and waterfront restaurants of Johns Pass Boardwalk to the north. Treasure Island is conveniently located between St. Pete Beach and Clearwater. 30 minutes to the Tampa International Airport. Orlando with Disney, Universal and Sea World are just 90 minutes away. This would be a fantastic place to bring the kids on vacation, to escape the cold in the winter, and to enjoy MLB spring training. But even with all there is to do near this condo, you'll spend a lot of time just looking out your window at the magnificent view.
Great place and people to work with! Great location, great beach, easy access to everything. The place was very neat organized and tons of space!
I agree with previous reviews regarding the mixed floor heights in the condo and the ongoing painting and pool maintenance during spring break time. Very disconcerting to pull open the blinds for the ocean view with morning coffee, and be faced instead with a scaffold and painters. Back to the penthouse...the amount of space, views, and full kitchen was fantastic. We had 4 adults and 2 children traveling and everyone had their own space (and TV!). That being said, it's time for a little maintenance (re-hang drapes onto hooks properly, get sinks draining better, replace/repair shower hardware, touch up wall paint where needed,etc.). Can't forget to extend kudos to ITrip for this - I called Sunday night at 8 pm to leave a message about a problem with the TV (only so it could be addressed on Monday). I received a call back within 15 minutes from a very helpful gentleman...problem solved.
Excellent stay. Wish we would've stayed longer. Strict Check in time is a little late (4pm) but do able. The floors in the condo are different levels. Must pay attention! I rspecially liked the number of bathrooms! Made getting out the door very easy with 5 adults, 2 teenagers and a baby.
The penthouse that we rented for our family at the Island Inn was great. Lots of room, nicely decorated. Very comfortable. I stayed at the Island Inn two years in a row and both times there was maintenance taking place. Last year wasn't as bad as this year because it was being done in the front of the building. This year the ocean front was being painted. I know they need to do this, but during prime weeks, when prices are their highest isn't being considerate of renters. This isn't a reflection of itrips, but our week wasn't without inconvience. We should have been notified of this before. All the people I chatted with felt the same way. They even power washed the pool area while my grandkids were trying to swim, and all had to leave. Power washed the building one day, and then without warning they were painting in front of your windows or on the balconies. The painters even cleaned their brushes out on the sand right by the volleyball nets were children would play.We do love the area, and renting from itrips has gone very smoothly. I know that if we returned next year this should not be a problem as it should be done by then. We will see?
This property was perfectly located, perfectly priced and perfect for my family of 6!!! The views were spectacular and the place was in great condition. There are weird steps but nothing that bothered us. The bar and bartender were fantastic and the pool was as well. My only complaint and only reason I would not give this a 5 is due to a very unhappy, miserable woman that worked the front desk we delt with 3 others that were extremely pleasant and kind but this 1 was very nasty and made us feel like asking a question was an inconvienance to her!!!! We spent the whole week trying to avoid the front desk if she was there!!! We also talked to others with the same complaint!!! I do have to reintegrate the other 3 that worked the desk were VERY nice and helpful.
The condo was on the top floor of an antiquated hotel. There were step ups in the condo where they apparently added some plumbing for the bathrooms. We tripped on these continually. There are three sliding doors facing the ocean with no balcony. There is only an aluminum railing to keep someone from falling out of the 6th floor doors. The furniture and beds (and felt as if) appeared to have been recycled through good will a few times. Keep looking.. You can probably find something much better for the money.
