Even though this beautiful property is just under 2 hours from Sydney, it feels like a worlds away!
Forget all those city pressures, enjoy the countryside with both farm animals and beautiful green views. Freedom for the children to run and play , your dog will love the space also.
This large house is fully furnished, cooled with air conditioning in summer, and heated in winter with a wonderful wood fire. The kitchen has been renovated and is ready for guests to cook up a feast. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean, and every effort will be made to help guests enjoy their stay.
Perfect for small gatherings, the quiet valley setting means parties and large gatherings will need prior approval.
Dogs are welcome, but must be controlled to make sure no disruption to the other animals or the local area occurs. The dog rules are below, and should be acknowledged in your booking request if you wish to bring your pet.
Chickens provide fresh eggs for you, in return for feeding and watering them.
Sometimes you can spot a platypus in the creek, or watch the wallabies coming down to enjoy the sweet green grass. Bird watchers will enjoy the area which has had over 60 different birds identified recently.
The valley is perfect for bike rides, long runs, or hiking. The Great North Walk crosses the valley close by, making the house a perfect stop on your journey. The Watagan National Park borders the valley and can be accessed nearby.

There is no mobile phone reception at the house. Wifi data is available through our Satellite internet connection, for services such as viber and messenger, and there is a landline which can be used for emergency / important calls.
At times of extremely heavy rainfall the access roads may flood and become impassable. In this case visitors will be unable to travel into the valley and will need to arrange another time for their visit. We will endeavour to contact you if access becomes difficult.
Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms, or on the furniture.
At night the laundry is the best place for the pets to sleep in, guests need to provide appropriate bedding for them.
Scratching and or chewing of fittings etc is not to be allowed and screen doors have been replaced so please don't allow your dogs to jump up or damage them.
The house yard is not totally dog proof so the dogs need to be locked onto the wrap around verandah if and when necessary. If you are out for the day please lock them on the deck rather than inside the house. They will feel quite safe there.
Dog poos should be collected and placed in the open compost area (not in plastic bags) near the shed.
There are chickens, cows, calves and horses in close proximity - dogs shouldn't chase them or stress them.
Any damage or cleaning required due to pets will incur a fee to the value of the cost to rectify, plus a 25% administration fee.
