*This gem of an apartment is tucked away on a lovely residential street mere steps from Times Square (less than a block away from the Times Square Subway). The apartment is large, around 1250 sq. ft., and filled with natural light. It faces the gardens between buildings, giving it a sense of calm and quiet that is rare and precious in this part of the city. The street is tree and brown-stone lined, but is less than 1/2 a block away from the excitement of the Hell's Kitchen and Times Square area. This part of the city, beside the attractions of Times Square itself is, both a cultural and transportation hub. Hell's Kitchen is widely considered the food capital of New York, with countless trendy, classy, and exciting restaurants of every variety and style. In addition, you are at the center of New York's bustling Theater District. Got a Broadway show to catch? They are all within a 10 minutes' walk of the apartment!
The Apartment has 2 twin beds, 1 queen bed, one pull out sofa bed fit for 2 people, and another large sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils in case you get bored of eating out. There is also cable TV with on demand movies. If you get tired of TV, the apartment is full of books and there are a few boardgames. There is Wifi and air-conditioning. If you decide to enjoy a quiet evening in, the apartment is comfortably furnished.
The minimum stay is very flexible, please email us instead of doing if you would like a shorter stay or a discount for a longer stay. Thanks! We hope to hear from you.
We arrived early but we were able to drop our luggage while the apartment was being cleaned. Very spacious unit, especially considering this is NYC. We were four and used the two bedrooms and the futon in the living room. Location worked perfect for us. Close enough to subway stops which we used daily. Walkable to theaters and many yummy restaurants. I liked staying in Hells Kitchen.
Kitchen is small but we never cooked. The back door is a bit odd to close and lock, make sure you ask how it works. Very nice owners and we appreciated their suggestions on where to eat as it got us started in the neighborhood. Location and space makes this a good place to stay.
Space worked extremely well for us and our son's family which includes a 4 and 3 year olds. Kitchen was well equipped and the space was very clean.
Michal our host was very gracious and helpful.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Five 50-something women in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo for five days might seem like a bit of a stretch but this unit worked out beautifully and every single one of us said we would stay there again in a heartbeat. The location is perfect; only a couple of blocks from Times Square, it is located on a residential street in Hell's Kitchen which means a quiet street within easy walking distance of pretty much everything especially great restaurants.
The unit is well maintained and surprisingly quiet, considering its very central location; there was plenty of space for the five us and we never felt crowded. It is perfect for a group of 4 or 5. I slept on the pull-out in the livingroom which is given some sence of privacy by the layout of the furniture. While I was very comfortable, I wouldn't recommend it for 2 adults as there is a tendency to roll toward the middle. The other four women each commented on the comfort of their beds.
I can only suggest a couple of very minor tweaks: first, there was tons of plates, bowls and cups, but the unit could use more glassware and cutlery; second, it would have been nice to have a plug-in and a mirror (perhaps in the livingroom) which would accept a blow dryer. With FIVE women, you can imagine the need for a few extra corners to do hair and makeup. Minor complaints for sure!
Our hosts are on-site, unobtrusive but very helpful. They provide a brief description of some of their favourite places within easy walking distance but don't be afraid to explore. While the tendency is to head out toward Times Square every day, if you head in the opposite direction you will find a liquor store at the end of the block and a small deli-grocery store just around the corner. Our only regret was that we didn't find these earlier!
Our host also operates a home business making jewelry. We were invited to see some of the work and most of us even made purchases!
From what we can gather, this unit is rented pretty much back-to-back so consider yourselves fortunate if you can rent it. You will not be disappointed.
We all loved it! 5 women easily fit in the space, having breakfast at the big table, privacy and great beds.
We met Michael and he was super helpful and friendly. Safety and trust are of the utmost importance with Michael. So we were able to travel about with ease, feeling well taken care of.
Close to all the theatres, we found great food, and even in the cold & rain, we were able to get around quickly to all the places we were looking forward to. A+ reference to Michael and to Michal for her fun and exciting artwork we enjoyed thoroughly.
We would definitely ask to go back. Thank you!
A wonderful amount of space with a fun, quirky design element. The owners were kind and accommodating. The location can't be beat if theater and interesting restaurants are on your agenda. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The apartment is in a great location just a few blocks away from Times Square and many of the broadway theatres. It is spacious for 6 people to stay comfortably. It was clean and well equipped. The only missing appliances were the washing machine and the dish washer but was not a big deal. The apartment is on the first floor and easy to access. Although it is on a very central location, it is really quite. The neighbourhood is really safe. Checkin and check out was very easy and convenient. Micheal was very welcoming. I really suggest this place for large families with kids.
