People from all over the world move to Maleny because of its sheer beauty and wonderful climate. A magical wonderland and can't wait to get back!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved the Lakeside Manor! It had such a cosy feeling and exceptionally comfy beds, a choice of fireplaces inside and out surrounded by a quite country feel with you own lake. Highlight was relaxing with a book and their new deck overlooking the lake sipping champers made the city feel even further away. The house has a well stocked pantry with all the essentials which we did not bring. There is plenty of space for the kids and dogs as well as a trampoline. We'll be back for our wedding (we loved the ceremony deck over the water). The owners are very attentive without being intrusive and even brought us some organic rocket for our dinner. Can't wait to get back as soon as possible and start planning our big day.

Quaint, rustic warmth but needs some love.

  • 3 of 5

We loved the Lakehouse Manor with it's quaint, rustic warmth and lush bush setting overlooking the small lake and cattle happily grazing on the adjacent hill.

In the yard there were lemon trees heavy with big, juicy lemons to pick and a trampoline to keep the kids occupied.

Unfortunately most of the 3 acres are inaccessible so there really is only about half an acre or so for guest use but it was still a great space for the kids to explore and collect fire wood for a bonfire.

I also found the property too close to the road and the traffic noise prevented me from capturing the quiet country getaway I was hoping for.

Our charming host was happy to help with any of our needs, ensuring there was plenty of firewood available for purchase.

There was a range of stables in the kitchen pantry and fresh milk, juice and butter in the fridge to get us started for a self-determined donation.

Hot water bottles, big comfy beds with crisp linens and throws on the lounges were a welcoming touch however, I was ultimately disappointed the cabin was not all it was advertised to be. Apart from needing a good spring clean (the shower recesses came up trumps after we used a bottle of bathroom bleach on them and we had to clean out the kitchen drawers and all the crockery & cutlery), there were no shower curtains so I had to mop the bathroom floors each time someone had a shower, the kitchen was in desperate need of a reno along with a new set of pots & pans and we had to ask for a new washing machine which I thought should have been addressed before we arrived. There was no dryer as advertised but the Owner was happy to provide us with a clothes horse for the few rainy days we were unable to use the clothes line.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your upfront review Kris. I think my service was exceptional - I offered to do washing for you when it was brought to my attention that the new machine was not working, I then immediately went out and bought a new one and installed it within hours - not many people would do that. The cutlery and crockery are all less than 6 months old. We do not advertise a dryer but drying area (cloths line) which is mostly fine for guests. We recycle our water which means we avoid chlorine type detergents but we do use lemon and vinegar to move the worst grime. Kitchen does need a new work surface though. Best wishes Jeremy

Excellent location wth personal touches

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for our wedding weekend and all were more than happy with it. Such a peaceful spot and nothing was too much trouble for Jeremy. Would be a great spot for a weekend away, especially in the cooler months when you can curl up in front of the fireplace! Would love to get back at some stage :)

Perfection Personified

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful setting! So relaxing...early evening sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, watching and listening to the birds on the lake was wonderful. I am disabled and my scooter was able to access inside and easily make use of the bathroom facilities. Recomend this place to anyone be they a couple, family or group.
