Location, Location! This peaceful waterfront apartment is the perfect place for your next holiday.
Situated in the heart of Coles Bay, the property is located as close to the water as you can get.
Lying back on the sofa you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Bay and The Hazards, while taking in the activities on the waterfront at the busy boat ramp - often a hive of activityespecially in the summer.
Just a short walk away, less than a 100 meters, you'll find the General Store and the popular Tombolo Cafe, which has just changed hands and renamed “Geographie”. The coffee is great! The Pizzas are yum.
This ground floor apartment boasts a spacious open living area, (the living, dining and kitchen all in one space) with the most amazing view. Some people have dubbed it the "fish bowl", as the living area is all glass. You can quietly look out, but as the glass is tinted it is quite private.
We have just installed a reverse cycle air conditioner which is something I have wanted and was on top of my list of priorities. It will be helpful on the occasional summer's day when it is hot, but make it cosy and comfortable in the winter
Our yellow couches have been replaced by new lovely grey ones which tone in so much better.
Since last summer we have replaced with new, the beds as well, so all in all, it has a lovely fresh look.
We have also installed WiFi and you can log in for free.
Especially our interstate and overseas guests will be pleased as phone coverage with anything other than Telstra is hopeless.
When making a booking for two you only have access to the main bedroom with the Queen Bed. It is spacious and you could fit in a cot if needed.
If you arrive expecting two bedrooms you will need to let me know before arrival and this incurs an added $30 per bed used per night. As you would realize this involves extra cleaning and laundry costs.
*Modern clean facilities
*Full size fridge
*Flat screen TV
*Spacious main bedroom with Queensize bed.
*Roomy second bedroom with 2 single beds
* All linen and lovely soft towels supplied plus soap and shampoo etc.
* Free WiFi
At the back of the property you'll find a wood fired barbeque and seating area with an amazing view of the Hazards and the water. This space is available for you to use. Wood and kindling are right at your fingertips.
This magical spot in Coles Bay has been our family's favourite holiday spot for many years. But unfortunately, as half of our children and grandchildren have moved interstate, we do not visit as often as we used to, or would like. So we have decided to let others enjoy this magnificent spot and make wonderful memories like we have.
The downstairs unit is totally self contained. Only occasionally will there be anyone in the main house upstairs, and this will not interfere with our guests at all.
Please note ... If you have booked as a couple or as Two adults, you will find the extra bedroom is locked.
Prices set are for two guests and extra guests are charged $30 p.p. Per night.
Minimum stay 2 nights.
Coles Bay is nestled below the spectacular Hazards Peaks which are part of the world renowned Freycinet Peninsula.
Driving to Coles Bay from the north or south you pass some of the best wineries on the East Coast. You can also stop on Coles Bay Road to try some fine, fresh Tasmanian seafood.
While you're in Coles Bay, enjoy a relaxing walk along the expanses of beautiful beaches or relax in the quiet bays throughout the National Park. Take a 45 minute return walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout or go even further to explore the magnificent Freycinet Peninsula.
Coles Bay provides activities for all ages, experiences and tastes, including swimming, snorkeling, fishing, diving, flying, kayaking, quad-biking, cruising, hiking and much more! Not to mention the fine dining experiences and coffee available within walking distance.
Take the kids to the playground, tennis courts or the outdoor summer picture theatre at the National Park Visitors Centre.
Dine out in Coles Bay or take a 30 minute trip to Bicheno or Swansea, or cook your fresh catch of fish on the barbecue at our cottage accommodation.
Or just sit back and relax on the beach enjoying the stunning scenery and the ambience.

About Cathy Vos
My husband and I love coming here and enjoy the walks and the fishing and the tranquillity here. it is our "get-away" from our normally busy life.
Cathy Vos purchased this Apartment in 1995
Why Cathy Vos chose Freycinet
We always enjoyed this place with our kids when they were still at home, and later our "grandies". The fishing, water skiing, walks and just hanging out is just fabulous. However, half of our family have moved interstate so it doesn't get the use it once did. we have adjusted the space so that our guests are totally separate from us if we happen to be there at the same time. Your space is YOUR space.

Perfect location comfortable house
Cathy's house is in the most perfect location, the house is very comfortable and spacious.
2 nights was not enough time to experience all the area has to offer
Thanks Deborah. Glad everything met with your expectations. Please come and visit again.
Amazing - amazing.
Perfect location,so close to the water & convenient to shop. View makes you want to stay forever.
Wonderful location, lovely furnishings
Great stay for our wedding anniversary. Lovely to meet the owners and have a good chat about the local restaurants etc.
Thank you for choosing RestPoint for this special occasion. You are welcome to come back anytime.
fantastic location and wonderful stay
What a great location!
Being able to have the family stay right on the waterfront and let the children play on the beach and wade in the water, and still I can keep a eye on them from the lounge room holding a glass of wine could not have been more relaxing.
The property was clean and tidy with everything we could have wanted.
We will keep this property in mind for many years to come, as the Coles Bay area is going to draw us back over and over.
PS: Climbing Mt Amos was a epic challenge but worth every ache and pain we feel in our legs.
Thank you Scott for your kind words. Glad RestPoint didn’t disappoint. I am impressed that you managed Mt Amos. You have a lovely family. Welcome back anytime
Beautiful accomodation in a magic location!
We loved our stay here. The location is perfect - walking distance to the cruise boat, shops and Freycinet National Park. The Bay is just stunning with the best views of the Hazards, especially at sunset. The accommodation was modern and very comfortable, everything new and crisp sheets... bliss! Only suggestion would be to make it clear there is no oven or washing machine - these are not always available but good to know when planning a family trip. The perfect place to stay - we will definitely recommend to others!! Thanks Cathy.
Thanks Meg. I am so pleased you enjoyed our special place. I can imagine the frustration of planning meals expecting an oven etc. I will endeavor to make that clearer in the “blurb”. I might also point out there that there is a possibility to use the the laundry at the caravan park just up the road at Iluka. Thanks for your positive feed back and please come again. Cathy
Family of 4 spending 3 weeks in Tasmania from Melbourne. Fabulous time. Lovely location, great hosts. Plenty of space, comfy beds and attention to detail. Michael saw we had bikes and kindly gave us the use of the garage to keep them safe. My only suggestions would be for a gas BBQ given there was a wood fired one which we couldn’t use Due to fire restrictions. We had planned on BBQs so had to cook in the electric fry pan.
I also prefer a washing machine especially with kids and a beach location. Travelling to bicheno, to the laundrette wastes time on holidays. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.
Thanks for choosing Rest Point. We will take your suggestions on board. The gas Barbie is a definite in the future as we plan to make a patio area out the front. Glad you enjoyed your time and please do come again.
