About the property


Centrally located four bedroom house, on a wide street within close proximity to all the town has to offer. A short walk to the beach front, local shop, Post Office, Tourist Information and Community Centre, Hotel and Café. Located directly across from the Golf Club, Northumberland is also a short stroll to the local Bowls and Football Club.

Accommodating for up to 12 people, with two bedrooms under the main roof and another two bedrooms just off the pergola. Master bedroom has a large King and a large single , but can be split to make 3x singles. Bedroom 2 also has a large King that an be split into 2x singles. Bedroom three and four has 3 & 2 x singles respectively. Bedding configuration can be adjusted to requirements. The couch also folds out to a double sized sofa bed. Linen and towels are supplied.

A fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, and a lounge with a great view. The house is heated with both Heat bank heating and reverse cycle.

An outdoor area with BBQ, comfort heater and a chest freezer. There is even an extra fridge and an outside toilet.

Plenty of off street parking for 3 large boats and vehicles, with a second driveway that will easily fit another vehicle.

Due to configuration of Bedrooms, Northumberland can be closed off and rented as a bed sit accommodation. Enquire for further details.

Large groups (greater than eight (8)) will incur a cleaning fee of $50.


Northumberland is located with close proximity to all the local facilities, on Elizabeth Street in Port MacDonnell.

We are situated approximately 2kms to the new state of the boat launching facilities. A five minute walk to the newly renovated Jetty, playground facilities, Skate park and Breakwater. A beach front walking track that travels from the local "Woolwash" swimming beach, right through to the Lighthouse, total walking time of appox 20 - 30 minutes, is just around the corner.

Port MacDonnell is located 30kms from Mount Gambier and 35kms from Nelson and the Glenelg River.

Local attractions such as the Fairy Penguins, various surfing or fishing spots, Ewens Ponds, Dingely Dell Cottage, Germain Reserve, Mount Shank volcano trail and various other beachside activities are all on our doorstep. Our local Tourist Information centre also holds a Maritime Museum, Library services, an Art Gallery and much, much more.
