Hawley is the original homestead of the 150 hectare Rubicon Estate, which has been the Houghton family's home for three generations. Hawley unashamedly embraces the patina created by her 130 year history, and the idiosyncrasies that come with being first and foremost a family home, not least of which is her unique rooftop bath.

The property is home to a vast array of endemic animals, including nearby fairy penguin and muttonbird rookeries, It is a short drive to the famous wombats of the Narawntapu National Park, and the shy Wedge-tailed eagles, and Tasmanian Devil pawprints can sometimes be sighted when exploring kilometres of nature trails that meander through our extensive wildlife reserve of coastal heathland and peppermint forest.
