Are you wanting the seaside holiday, without the traffic, noise and close proximity of your new neighbours to just relax and unwind?
Our three bedroom house offers all the essentials you require to enjoy a quiet time away with friends or family, within close proximity to all that Anglesea has to offer.
Set in a small Cul-de-sac, a short seven iron away from the renowned Kangaroo lined Anglesea Golf Course, our house is nestled beside Coogoorah parkland, where you can wake up to the wildlife literally on your back door step. The large outdoor deck provides a great viewing platform to take in the serenity or to share with others as you bide your time away. Another smaller deck provides a great spot to capture the afternoon, winter sunshine.
The house itself comprises of three bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, open plan family and dining area, bathroom and separate laundry (please note that a combined bathroom/laundry renovation is currently underway and will be completed by early June).
The main bedroom has a queen size bed, built in robes, ceiling fan and TV, for those who are wanting that little bit of privacy. The second bedroom comprises a double bed, built in robes and ceiling fan.
The third bedroom offers built in triple bunks and a single bed, for those who don't mind to share, or for the young ones to enjoy the time with others.
The kitchen comes complete will all essential utensils, electric stove and microwave with ample storage space for groceries.
What better way to relax and unwind than in the large family area, where the reverse cycle air-conditioning will keep you comfortable all year round, or the wood fire heater to keep away those winter chills. Whether you chill out in front of the TV, take in one of the DVD's, stream your own music through the Bluetooth stereo, or browse to your your hearts content using our unlimited NBN WiFi, there should be plenty to keep you entertained. If it's a break away from technology your after, grab the rest of the family or friends and play one of the board games.
The bathroom has a bath with a shower above, with an additional shower also in the laundry (as previously mentioned, a combined bathroom/laundry renovation is planned towards the middle of 2018, which will increase the size of the bathroom, but will remove the bath and one of the showers).
Outdoors, a double electric BBQ lets you enjoy the longer summer days with a fire pit provided when it gets cooler. The adjoining carport caters for two smaller vehicles, and an enclosed area is provided for those four legged members of the family to be housed (not visible from living areas).
Shops, beach, river, and playgrounds are a short drive away or can be accessed via the path through the nature reserves, which serves both locals and tourists alike.
With one of the best beaches along the Surf Coast, a championship Golf Course 100m away and a tranquil setting to relax and enjoy, our house offers an idealic opportunity for those wanting a good family holiday or just time away from life in the fast lane.

About Greg Hopkins
Active middle aged (young at heart) husband and father of three, who has always been involved in sports and who is always trying to recapture his early fumbling surfing skills. As someone with a strong family background, sporting captain and coach and and current 20 years + employer for Civil Engineering consultancy, I would like to think I am loyal and considerate of others, which ensures that each tenant is warmly welcomed.
Greg Hopkins purchased this House in 1996
Why Greg Hopkins chose Anglesea
This property satisfied our initial young families needs. Giving our city children a small taste of my wife's rural background with the adjoins parkland, while having one of the best beaches nearby. Will be long term retirement location.

We enjoyed our time at “Bush by the sea”. It was peaceful and accomodated our family of 5 with room to move. The owners were great to deal with and great facilities.
Jackie, Thank you for your very positive review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay enough to make a return booking for next year. Best wishes, Greg
Great home in excellent location
Our family loved this house! Perfect location for shops and beach. Kids were delighted by the visiting kangaroos!
Nicole, Thanking you for your positive review of our house. The presence of kangaroos in the back yard never tires! Regards, Greg
Quiet and spacious
Working away from home was nice and easy to relax.
Thanks Jason, Great to know that the house is not only set up for holiday makers but comfortable enough for working accomodation. Regards, Greg
Great place for price, was able to relax in quiet and enjoy the peaceful tranquility while watching the widelife come out at dusk and dawn, priceless.
Chris, Great time of the year for wildlife and we like to think that they are just as happy around us as our tenants are to enjoy their company. Thank you for your positive review. Regards, Greg
Was a lovely house in a great position. Everything we needed in the house, cosy fire with lots of wood. Beautiful decking out back for breakfast and afternoon drinks. Nice walks, short drive to dog friendly beach with basically no one around. Golf course nice and close for yummy dinners.
Liz, I am so glad everything was to your liking and good to hear that the new additional deck served its purpose making use of the afternoon sunshine. Regards, Greg Hopkins
Great place for a relaxing weekend away. Quiet, private but close to town. Kids and dog loved the bush reserve, seeing kangaroos and parrots at breakfast and the firepit. House was clean and had all the basics covered and then some! Appreciated that the fire was set when we arrived. Greg was a great host. Would definitely recommend though as stated the property isn't fully fenced so dogs and very young kids need outside supervision.
Mel, Thank you for your kind review and thoughtful comments. A lovely time of the year to enjoy the serenity, and yes, the pleasure of sharing the company of Kangaroos is only enjoyed as a result of keeping the yard relatively accessible to them. Regards, Greg
