Verona Sands is gorgeous, you will love the tree lined white sands, children will adore the spacious beach to run around on. The waters are ideal for swimming, fishing from a tinnie (BYO boat) or kayaking around the bay. All this only 100mtrs from your holiday home.

Verona Sands is 20mins drive from the nearest town of Cygnet. You can get all the supplies you will need from the shops here. The Cygnet Hotel offers a great menu both for lunch and evening meal in their dining room, children welcome. Cygnet is in the heart of the fruit growing area of the Huon Valley and offers choice locally grown cherries, apricots, berries and many varieties of apples often sold from roadside stalls.

Huonville is the centre of the Huon Valley surrounded by the Hartz Range. Apart from the large choice of eating venues and shops, the river Huon offers recreational activities, boating, fishing and high speed jet boat rides.

The Valley is a food lovers heaven with the exceptional local produce. Relish the salmon fresh or smoked, oysters, or the locally grown fruit. Sample wines from the many vineyards in the area. Delight in picturesque views where ever you travel. Experiences as diverse as spotting a wild platypus in Geeveston or view a wooden boat being built at Franklin.

The ferry to Bruny Island is a short drive away, a must on your list of places to visit.

Further afield lies Hobart, Ross if you like antiques, Salamanca Markets held every Saturday in Hobart, the caves and thermal springs of Hastings. Of course a visit to the famous prison ruins of Port Arthur.
