Comfortable property

  • 5 of 5

As a couple, we stayed at this property for a week and found it very comfortable, clean and practical. Everything we needed was provided, and the apartment was close to all of the resort facilities. We would recommend this apartment, and would stay here again.

It's just OK/average.

Port Douglas and Ramada resort fine but the unit is small motel unit and only partially self contained. Difficulty with washing dishes, bathroom needs attention e.g shower over a corner bath, water pressure poor and temperature variable.

Owner's Response: Gerry, thank you for your review. May I say, we do not advertise our unit as self contained. Our unit is the same size as the Ramada Resort units advertised as a Deluxe Hotel room. We do supply amenities that the Deluxe Hotel room does not. These are a refrigerator twice the size, crockery, cutlery, glassware sandwich maker and large screen TV also twice the size as that supplied in a Deluxe Hotel room. These amenities are provided to assist the guest with convenient usable cold storage and freezer for snacks or items for a continental breakfast or light lunch. The unit bathroom layout is exactly the same, with double vanity basins, shower and corner bath as provided in the Ramada Deluxe Hotel unit. Our hot and cold water is supplied by Resort facilities external to our unit. Our unit daily rate varies from $45 to $80 per day less than the Deluxe Hotel Room. I hope this clarifies your review of our unit and hope you enjoyed your visit to wonderful Port Douglas. Kind regards, Michael

Very good property

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay, the room has the best location within the resort, very clean and comfortable. The only issue was the shower, couldn't get the temperature set, so continuously running hot or cold. We didn't contact owner, presuming it was more of a resort issue.

A welcome break

  • 5 of 5

This room was much larger than expected. The King size bed was so comfy. The location of apartment was great if you wanted quick access to pool. And also to the beach. Ideally located on the ground floor, so had sliding doors to outside. But as the outside was a pathway, there was no way of sitting outside. But was happy to sit in Treetops Restaurant area where you could relax. Unfortunately all rooms at The Ramada do not have a balcony. We were happy with the facilities in the room. Good size TV (for those wanting to watch it on holiday...not us) Good size bathroom. Double vanity was great. Shower was good. We were there 4 nights and only had one towel each. Had to use beach towel. Some spare towels would be nice. Fridge, crockery, etc were all adequate. Although would prefer toaster to sandwich grill.

Happy to recommend this apartment. Would certainly return. Thank you so much Michael, your communication with this booking was great.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much Janice for your review. We have the sandwich maker as there has been difficulties within the resort of guest burning toast, setting off the resort fire alarm and evacuations implemented. Towels are kept at that number per guest to assist with keeping the room rate as low as possible. I will make a change to our advertising to provide additional towels for a small fee. Once again thank you for your review and five star rating.
