Treasure Island is across the San Luis Pass from the west end of Galveston. We are located on the bend where the Gulf of Mexico goes through the Pass into Galveston West Bay. It is an great sight with plenty of pretty water views! This area is a bird and fishing paradise. Miles remote wide beaches and the best shells on the Texas coast. Just 20 minutes away is historic Galveston. There you can enjoy Schlitterbahn water park, Moody Gardens, Shopping on the Strand, fabulous restaurants, putt putt golf, movie theater, bike rentals and the new Pleasure Pier. There is so much to do in this area. You are also 20 Minutes to another great beach community called Surfside. There are great restaurants, shopping, and fishing. This is a one of the best fishing areas and is perfect for surf fishing. Surf fishing is very popular in the neighborhood at the beach in front of my house Deep water fishing can be booked out of Surfside. Payment must be received 30 days prior to your stay. Fishing and Shelling!: The neighborhood has a lighted fishing pier Treasure island has 2 beach walk overs so you can easily access the sandy beach. One walk over is located directly in front of this rental.The walk overs are wide enough that they can also accommodate a golf cart. The shelling is fabulous. You might even go home with a sand dollar or a piece of coral. Bring some crab traps. Crabbing is allowed at our lighted fishing pier. The home has all dishes, sheets and towels and beach towels. We provide beach toys and come beach chairs. Plenty of books, games and a large DVD library is provided. A BBQ is also provided. The deck wraps around the home for great beach viewing. Provided is a picnic tables for Beautiful Al Fresco dining!! Please bring your own, soap, shampoo, toiletries, toilet tissue, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, condiments, sunscreen, first aid, charcoal, lighter fluid, and insect repellent. Bring your fishing poles because there is great fishing located in our area. Bait store located in neighborhood. 'The Brite Light' is a small convenience store located in the neighborhood. Be aware, the Brite lite is open limited hours in the winter.
Property protection fee: $59.00, Cancellations Long-term rentals (in excess of 12 nights) will require a larger deposit and be subject to additional terms and conditions. Any excessive cleaning charges, dog waste removal or late departure fees will be billed directly to you.Payment is required 30 days prior to arrival. The Travelers insurance policy does not limit your liability. More overnight guests than the maximum of 10 will be cause for eviction and loss of deposit. **Cancellation: A full refund will be given if reservations are canceled 30 days or more before the arrival date minus Credit cards fee.. If cancellation is less than 30 days.
There is also a 'Cleaning Fee' of $145.00 in addition to rental and property protection fee of $59 with protection coverage up to $1500.00. There is a fee of $50 per small pet.
Keys, Reservations, Payment and Rules: Keys, Reservations and Payment:: **Keys: Arrival- Keys will be in lock box on location. (Owners will advise of code). Keys will not be issued if signed Rental Agreement, payment protection fee and rental fees have not been received. We will either call or email you with the combination to the lock box prior to your arrival. Keys: Departure- Return all keys to the lock box after locking all doors and windows. There will be a $75 charge for each set of keys not returned.
Rules and Rental Policy:: Absolutely no graduation, prom, fraternity, weddings, sorority groups or large parties of any kind.. Do not bring your pets unless pet deposit and agreement has been made prior to stay. Do not leave trash in the house. Tenant is required to dispose of any and all garbage (off property) in designated neighborhood dumpster's located in the back of the subdivision, upon checkout. You must leave the house in the same condition you found it when you arrived. Please remember that this is our own beach house also!
My husnband and I have several homes in Treasure Island. We also try to spend as much time at the beach as we can. We live in the Austin, TX area. Our day of retiring on the beach is getting closer and closer. We love the area and the people of Treasure Island.

I have made some major renovations in 2016. All new wide plank floors added in the interior, New roof, new interior and exterior paint, replaced hot water heater and dryer. I have also added new sofa and love seat. The house is clean, fresh and ready to go!
The house and its location was Amazing! It was nine of us and we had plenty of space to enjoy our weekend.
The house is very clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The wrap-around deck provides good views of the ocean which is only a couple hundred feet away. Unfortunately, the bridge over the sand dune shown in the photo is closed with a sign stating that several people died there due to undertow....so not really a swimming area. You can walk to the other end of the neighborhood where the state park beach is accessible, but still swimming is not allowed here either. The house has some structural issues (as I imagine is common with older beach houses) leading to uneven floors, cabinets that swing when you close the doors, and doors that don't fit the frames well. One of the beds was broken on arrival, but the owner fixed it the next day which was much appreciated.
Great location for relaxing and overlooking the ocean from the deck. However, for any swimming, you have to drive as the walkover there is closed. House itself was clean and ready. Most lights worked but there is a loose piece of metal at the top of the chimney that can be quite loud at night if it is windy. Oh, and if you're planning on driving to Galveston Island for swimming, there is a $2 toll each way each time you go across that San Luis Pass Bridge.
My husband and I planned a weekend family vacation for my 3 and 4 year old nephews and 16 month old niece. We wanted them to see the ocean for the first time and they absolutely loved it.
The beach access directly across from the property was closed due to 5 recent drownings. It was pretty scary to see that sign. I was disappointed at first, thinking we wouldn't be able to find any beach close by, but I called the homeowner and she directed me to the proper access point. (It's an island, after all, there's going to be water close by.) It was about two blocks away, which would not have been an issue at all if it weren't for the horrendous mosquitoes! We got chewed up the first night just walking to the beach. We drove the two blocks the remainder of our stay, which wasn't a big deal and allowed us to carry even MORE unnecessary toys and beach gear.
The beach was clean and not overly crowded at all. The fishing seems good, too, if you're into that.
The house was well-stocked and clean. Everything was in proper working order to my knowledge. The views of the water from the house were lovely. Especially on a near full moon night and the morning sunrise, too. It was spacious enough for three small children and four adults to live comfortably for a few days.
Pretty much the only drawback to the location and trip were the mosquitoes, which is hardly something the homeowner can control. It made it difficult to use the giant, lovely deck at certain times, but once we were on the beach the skeeters weren't an issue. Unless it was dusk, then RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.
In conclusion, mosquitoes are the worst creatures on earth and should all die a fiery death. But the beach house and the homeowner were very accommodating. Plus, my nephews think I'm an amazing Auntie, and isn't that the whole point?
We had a wonderful time on vacation, but we do when ever we are together. A couple of things about the stay: the house was cute and had everything that we needed. It was a little worn in places, such as the floor was stained and rippled in places. The deck was great and we had a wonderful view. I will say that looks are deceiving, and the beach is not directly across from the house. You had to go about 3 blocks to access the beach. There is a sign directly across from the house staying not to swim there as 5 people had died since 2013. That was a bit scary. And the mosquitos were so bad, vicious, couldn't allow the children to go downstairs with out being drenched in bug spray. But we made the best if the situation, and the owner did respond quickly with answers to my questions. Overall a good experience, but I think next time We will find somewhere closer to the beach.
We were a group of nine there for a weekend away. We had a great time, the house was a perfect size and we all slept comfortably. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Michelle was very friendly and easy to get ahold of when I had questions. All in all it was the great relaxing weekend away that we all needed.
Golf: Great Golf course in Lake Jackson. Very private location but close to everything! No prom groups, wedding or large parties of any kind are allowed in the home.

No refunds given for rainy weeks or weekends. If you have more than 10 people in the home without owners permission, you will loose your deposit. No exceptions! You will be charged for missing or towels that will not come clean. If you notice an issue please call owner right away so they may correct the problem. 512-965-3304.
