About the property

Byron Superluxe is beautifully designed and perfectly situated on tranquil Belongil beach. Built & architectural designed in 2015, this house offers a fantastic beach side location, full European kitchens, appliances, floors, beds and furniture.

Stroll 10 minutes along Belongil beach and you are in Byron centre.

The house is suitable for 14 people offering privacy within the different upstairs, downstairs and master suite zones of the house. There is a master kitchen and 1 x smaller kitchenettes. There is 4 bathrooms plus an outside shower.

It features 6 private decks, and a fantastic 8m swimming pool. Featuring an enclosed pool area & private cabana providing a sanctuary on windy days from northern winds.

There is off street parking for up to 4+ cars and security gates around the house.

There is 6 bedrooms, plus Studio bedroom (converted garage), 4 bathrooms. In total 3 King size bedrooms, 2 Queen sized and either 2 x Queen sized beds or 4 x single bed configuration is possible.

This house offers serenity out of the bustle of the tourist zone with hordes of backpackers, but 10 minute walking access to all the amenities of Byron Center.

There is a private Bocce court in a bamboo courtyard for the whole family to enjoy.

The master bedroom boasts direct ocean views up to the light house directly from bed.

European style & luxury

Superluxe has been designed with fully imported European furnishings and fittings to the highest level.

It features retractable Bi-Fold doors opening onto Northern and Southern decks for open living.

The house features air-conditioning and heating in all living areas and bedrooms.

2 x 60" TV's are provided upstairs and downstairs plus a private 48' TV in the Master suite. and one in the Studio

There is 3 King sized beds and 3 Queen sized beds. These feature high end German designed full position control electronic bed frames.

A Bocce court has been provided for hours of fun with the family.

2 x breakfast bars are provided on balconies.

There is a large table in the kitchen that seats 12 people. Another smaller external table is provided for outside eating.

A heated outside shower is featured to wash off after the beach.

Belongil Beach Access

Situated on a thin strip of land surrounded by the ocean and bushland, Belongil Beach is a very popular place to stay in Byron because it is so quiet, yet so close to the action.

The houses is 2 minutes walk to the beach which makes this area perfect for couples and families alike.

It offers the perfect balance between easy access to town and privacy with your own space for the family and friends.

Enjoy a wood fired pizza and acoustic music at the rustic Belongil treehouse cafe.

Great house in great location

Can highly recommend this special property. Great location, 10 mins walk to town or easy flat bike ride. 1 min to beach over the road, couple of minutes walk to Treehouse for funky dinning. Or when the place is this good why leave at all? Great setup with fantastic pool and pool hut - sheltered from street and wind - easy to supervise kids while relaxing there or on either ground level or first floor decks. Two living zones in the main house also make it great for families. Fantastic self contained garage with private deck and the upstairs master bedroom has to be one of the best in town. Super comfy beds, great furniture and fittings. Has everything you need. Great kitchens with Euro appliances, well stocked cutlery/crockery/glassware Large offstreet secure parking. Nice BBQ on back deck and having the bi folds open front and back makes it such a great space. Didnt use the WiFi but friends said all good even with multiple devices. Really enjoyed our stay here - the space and design makes having kids and friends staying in the one place a pleasure. Would work well for families or groups alike. Big awesome!

Bitterly Disappointed

We stayed at this property for 10 days over Xmas and had an extremely disappointing experience. We expected it to be a premium property, particularly given the price that was charged.

The problems we encountered were: • Broken glass around the yard and upper deck (found on two separate occasions). This was very concerning as we had young children with us; • The air-conditioning units in the upstairs bedrooms were not working. The master bedroom unit took 3 days to fix; • The larger fridge (upstairs) required repair; • Faulty front entrance and laundry access keypads; • Poor workmanship and quality of amenities e.g. - Bedroom and hallway doors would not shut properly; - Upstairs bedroom and bathroom locks (not Master suite) did not work; - Door handles, towel rails and staircase banister becoming detached; - Some bi-fold doors would not lock; - Unstable Wi-Fi; • Untidy debris and rubbish at the back of the house and in the garden beds (e.g. cigarette packs and bottle caps); • House next door was still under construction. We were not advised of this at the time of booking the property.

We notified the on-site manager and owner as and when the more significant problems arose. She promptly addressed whatever issues she could given the time of year. However, our Xmas holiday was seriously compromised by being frequently on the phone/email and by tradesmen coming in and out of the house to fix some of the problems.

Benefits of the property: • The location is excellent. 5 minute stroll to Treehouse café, Belongil Bistro and Belongil Beach; • Ample space and amenities e.g. 2 x kitchens, 4 x TVs, 2 (of 3) fully functioning fridges, secured parking; • Some luxury amenities e.g. coffee machines and combined microwave/oven; • Beautifully designed pool area; • Keyless (but note defects to front entrance and laundry keypads); • Owner flexibility: - Dog was allowed; - Allowed use of studio (including bedding and linen) without additional charge; - Alleged damage to a wall – owner did not deduct this from his from the bond.

The owner offered us 1 night's refund for the issues we experienced, but on the basis that we did not post a review. The owner now says he will confirm compensation after seeing our review. Overall, given the numerous defects and deficiencies we experienced, the property fell well short of being “Superluxe”.

Not recommended unless specific assurances are given that material shortcomings have been rectified.
