Glenelg On King Bed and Breakfast offers you the opportunity to enjoy Albany and its surrounding attractions, whilst relaxing in the tranquil environment of a modern home with separate 1st class bed and breakfast facilities, accessed by a private entrance. Situated on the upper reaches of the King River, Glenelg on King B & B is just 14kms from the centre of Albany. Nestled on a country block on the edge of the city, there is abundant birdlife to be enjoyed as you walk through the large established gardens with beautiful water features, or along the bridle trail which follows the river. If you are nature lovers, bird enthusiasts, or just want to escape from the rush and stress of life, you will find the peace and quiet of our home perfect for your time away. Wake each morning to beautiful bird calls, or the distant sounds of sheep or cows, and then enjoy your breakfast on the deck overlooking the lily covered pond when the weather is mild. At the end of a day exploring Albany's many amazing tourist attractions, there is nothing more relaxing than a coffee or a glass of local wine on the deck, listening to the frogs serenading you, and watching the birds head back to their roosts in the trees along the river.
Features of the unit include a private entry into a sitting room, with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave, TV, DVD player, CD Player, books, games, R/C air conditioner, and limited access to WiFi and the internet. Breakfast will be served in the dining area of the house, between 7.30am and 8.30am. A Continental breakfast is included in the tariff, or we can supply a full cooked breakfast for an extra $5 per person. Special dietary requirements can be requested.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO KITCHEN FACILITY AVAILABLE FOR GUEST USE.
Two bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the second with two King Single beds are serviced by one large bathroom and separate toilet/powder room. The bathroom has a large bath, shower and underfloor heating. The unit will perfectly suit a family of four, or two couples travelling together. Only one booking will be taken at a time as the bathroom is shared by both bedrooms.
AS THERE ARE MANY WATER FEATURES ON THE PROPERTY, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE FAMILIES WITH VERY YOUNG CHILDREN, FOR SAFETY REASONS. There are alpacas in the paddock near the house, so we are not able to have guests dogs on the property. Smoking is not permitted inside the house.

Awesome exactly what we required.
Lovely considerate hosts, beautiful rooms, very clean and fresh. Pretty gardens surround you. Hosts have thought of everything.
Thank you. Our desire was to provide you with a place of rest in your time of grief.
Best B&B experience ever
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ivan and Jan were awesome hosts. We loved the place so much. The bathroom floor was heated, there was a coffee machine, and a long bath! The entire place was thoroughly designed, making our stay extremely memorable.
Relaxing retreat for our family
We enjoyed our stay - comfortable accomodation, bedding, room facilities, brilliant bathroom; great breaky. Lovely semi rural setting yet ashort drive from town, which felt relaxing and peaceful. Jan and Ivan made us feel welcome ( kids liked the jokes!) and ensured we had everything we needed. Hope to stay again.
Thanks Lisa. Ivan has lots more jokes he likes to tell. We would love to host you again sometime. Regards Jan & Ivan
Relaxing river retreat
My family and I enjoyed our recent stay at Glenelg. The two kids loved exploring the garden, alpacas and riding their bikes along the bush track lining the river. Jan and Ivan were very hospitable, catering to our needs even providing new cute duvet covers for the kids beds. Although there was no cooking facilities we enjoyed the ambience of eating take away in the garden gazebo. Thanks Jan and Ivan - the kids will always have fond memories of Easter 2017!
Wow !! We are so pleased that you all enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure having you here. We hope to see you again sometime. Thank you.
The best accommodation on our trip!
Our stay was wonderful with welcoming hosts and an adorable dog! Everything was pristine and super cosy inside the guesthouse. Breakfast was delicious and the property had so many lovely places to explore and relax. I would highly recommend staying here!
Thank you Carmel. It was a pleasure having you here. Hope you can come again in the future. Jan
Just a lovely B&B stay.
The setting of the property was so relaxing creating the feeling of not wanting to go anywhere else but just to chill out surrounded by beautiful gardens above the King River.
Breakfasts were A1 and the coffee as good as we've enjoyed anywhere.
Furthermore, Jan & Ivan were wonderful by most generously assisting us when our car decided not to start.
When in Albany a perfect place to stay. Thank you Jan & Ivan most sincerely.
Hi Barbara. What an amazing review. Thank you for your kind words. Next time come down in the "good" car. Jan
