Continental breakfast, tea, coffee and homemade biscuits are included in the nightly tariff. At an additional cost, cooked breakfast, cheese platter or sumptuous evening meals can be delivered to your villa or a picnic hamper pre-prepared for that special outing.
Once you've unwound you may be drawn down the peaceful, tree-lined country lane, through the park and over a quaint footbridge to what at first seems like a sleepy village. As you step into the main street you'll soon realise that the faded old shop fronts house some astonishing and diverse businesses. There are top class dining and coffee places, artisan produce, a farmers' market, galleries, boutique nurseries, antiques and unusual wares. Trentham is an old town with great historic character, but enough going on to satisfy the most discriminating visitor.
Trentham lies at the heart of the Macedon Ranges, one of Victoria's most popular, vibrant and beautiful regional destinations and is only an hour's drive northwest from Melbourne airport. At 700 metres, it sits atop the Great Dividing Range, surrounded by the majestic trees of the Wombat State Forest. In winter it's often dusted by snow, while in summer it stays lush and green long after neighbouring regions dry out. It sits within the volcanic belt and the rich red soil combined with the highest rainfall in Victoria makes it a gardener's paradise.
Trentham isn't just about good food and boutique stores. It makes a great base for exploring neighbouring towns and attractions. Only short drives away are the hotspots of Daylesford, Kyneton and Woodend. Daylesford is home to the highest concentration of natural mineral springs in Australia and many visitors choose from an array of spa and wellbeing experiences to rejuvenate in these magical waters. Trentham is centrally located between the larger, historic regional centres of Ballarat and Bendigo. Smaller towns of Castlemaine, Maldon, Malmsbury and Glenlyon are well worth a visit.

Fantastic and beautiful
This was a wonderful place to stay in the lovely village of Trentham. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and tidy with a view of the lake and the special treats of chocolates, melting moments and a beautiful candle in the bathroom, not to mention the lovely toiletries made this a must place to revisit.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words Lorraine. It was a pleasure hosting you and your guests and we look forward to accommodating you again in the future. We hope all goes exceedingly well for your daughter's February wedding plans - best wishes.
Loved our stay!
What a pleasant surprise it was staying at the villa! Arriving late, we entered a toasty room, enjoyed a relaxing bath in the amazing bathroom, and settled into comfy bed. The breakfast supplies were lovely and generous. I could not fault our stay and can't wait to return. Thanks Wendy & Chris
Close to Daylesford, Castlemaine, Ballarat - good quality food everywhere i went. Trentham also has high quality shops and food. Great weekend getaway. I will probably stay longer next time.
Gorgeous! From the idyllic lake setting to the details of a scented candle in the bathroom and handmade biscuits with freshly ground coffee in your 'kitchen', Chris and Wendy have got it just right. We will be back!
