Nestled in a forest setting, Holiday House is only 800m from town and 300m from the Barret Weir on the beautiful Margaret River. An ideal location to savour the delights of the shops and eating houses in the town; direct access to bush tracks for walking and cycling, and the river for swimming and canoeing.
A ten minute drive gets to the beach at Prevelly, with its delightful Greek Orthodox chapel, donated in recognition of the role of the Monks of the Preveli Monastery in Crete during WWII. Visit the many wineries and other great local attractions, maybe using the guided tours available from the Tourist Centre.
Pets may be accepted at the owner's discretion.
The house is upside-down! Thus the upstairs contains the main living/dining area, the kitchen, and the master bedroom and on-suite bathroom, with a toilet accessible from the living area. The views are of the tree tops.
Downstairs has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a bathroom/utility room, and a second living area opening onto the generous balcony with outdoor setting and barbecue.
This spacious house was built a few years ago by the owners, and nestles comfortably in its bush setting. The house is bright and airy, free from the noise of city life. We wish our guests a happy and peaceful stay, hoping they will spread the word about us and this beautiful area.

About Liz Williams
Originally from Liverpool. I have lived in Australia since 1977. I am now retired, but was a Hospital Social Worker, specialising in Aged Care.
Liz Williams purchased this House in 2004
Why Liz Williams chose Margaret River
I bought the Margaret River property as an empty lot in 2004, and built the house in 2007. We had it solely as a holiday home for some years before entering the short term rental market in 2015. I liked the location of the property for its convenience and ambience.

Located right next to the creek. Good walking distance to town. Great views
Would come again and highly recommend it.
Unfortunately we are unable to meet our guests in person. We have therefore to rely on our cleaner's report, which in Daniel's case was good. We are pleased he will return - hopefully soon.
Great home away from home
We stayed during the school holiday. Absolutely loved it. Perfect spot for walking. Short walk to the weir. Not far from the Center of town, very comfortable home loved the wood fire. Had a great stay thank you
Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed our stay, we did not realise the house was so closed to others, but we still enjoyed our time.
After a long 4 hour drive was a little disappointed that there was not enough tea bags or sugar to enjoy a cup of tea, something that maybe the owners could make sure are there for future people.
The fire was wicked and heated the house up really well.
We apologise for the shirtage of tea and sugar. Your review has been forwarded to our cleaner, who is charged with the duty to refill these items after each visit. We hope this didn't spoil your visit.
Enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house. Nice and cool thanks to the ceiling fans and air con in Summer. Comfy couch. The deck is a lovely spot nestled in the forest. Other properties nearby but very quiet. Shame there isn't more 'garden' but it's so close to the river walk trails and the weir. Walk along the very scenic river trail to get to Rotary park and the Brewhouse brewery. A ten minute walk into town. The only problem really is parking anything large. We came in a 12 seater minivan with or family and dogs and it was extremely tricky and tight! WOuld stay again. The owners went out of their way and very kindly returned a CD we had left in the player by mistake
Central to many attractions
We had an enjoyable stay. Parking was tricky, particularly at night with lack of lighting, but we soon figured it out. Due to the weather, we did not get a chance to explore the surrounding area. Maybe next time.
Enjoyed our stay at Holiday House, only a short walk from Bussell Highway and delicious food and coffee. Hard to find the property but we eventually did (thanks to the owners for providing a map.) Bring jumpers-- the house is surrounded by lush greenery but does get a little chilly. Loved having access to a big kitchen, and the hot water system was excellent.
