Located in the beautiful Kiewa Valley, Little Bogong offers amazing views of Victoria's highest peak, Mt Bogong, with views to Mt Fainter and surrounding semi-rural properties.
This secluded accommodation over split levels is set on two hectares of native trees, shrubs and lawn. Little Bogong is private and very individual. It is fully equipped with all cooking needs, quality music system, coffee maker, barbecue, place for alfresco dining and good heating and cooling systems.
It has a slow burning wood fire downstairs and Nobo panel heater and reverse cycle air conditioning unit upstairs, making it very comfortable all year around.
Linen and towels provided.
Please note a two night minimum stay is required. But believe me, you won't want to leave.
Four season attractions
Take time to enjoy the many local attractions - snow in winter, bushwalking, fishing, cycling and swimming in the Kiewa River or town pool in summer. All year round active outdoor pursuits are popular.
Take a walk around the Mt Beauty lake, set at the foot of majestic Mt Bogong.
It is just a short stroll to Annapurna Winery on Simmonds Creek Road, and 2 km to Mount Beauty township which has all the facilities you need, including excellent supermarket, bottle shop, medical centre, great cafes and tourist information centre.
Visit local wineries and sample delicious local berries, apples and olive oil.
It is an easy drive from here to Falls Creek (33 km), Bright, or Albury/Wodonga.
The Great Alpine Road tourist loop is an easy day trip, taking in charming Bogong Village, Falls Creek, the Bogong High Plains, Blue Duck Inn for lunch, followed by historic Omeo township, Dinner Plain and Hotham Heights, before heading off the mountain ridges back to Bright and Mt Beauty.
Local birds and animals abound
This is a great place for bird watching and animal viewing. A family of kangaroos appear to have taken up residence on the block.
