Why Roger Luttmer chose Boat Harbour Beach
Having travelled much of the world settled at Boat Harbour 30 years ago as one of the best locations to have ever come across. Bought Paradise House off the plan to provide holiday accommodation income for discerning visitors.
What makes this Villa unique
Paradise House was named as such because it really does give a feeling that one has found Paradise. The villa is an architect designed beach property of contemporary design offering modern comforts and is very well appointed.

Owner very helpful and accommodating
We had a fantastic time. Accommodation excellent and had everything we needed.
Superb position and comfort with free wifi
Very comfortable and well positioned house in peaceful spot overlooking beautiful surf beach.
Fantastic location and great unit.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ... very lovely owners who were very welcoming. Top class unit and well positioned. We do believe that the second bedroom should be described as a sofa bed as the bed was extremely uncomfortable as most sofa beds are unfortunately. It really should be a proper bed being the second bedroom unless otherwise stated. Apart from this we had a wonderful stay !
Hi Leesa Thank you so much for your review, I'm really glad you all thoroughly enjoyed your stay at Paradise House. .I must admit I was rather surprised at your comment about the third auxiliary bedroom. The second bedroom is a Twin Bed bedroom and has hotel grade beds. The auxiliary 3rd bedroom does have a very comfortable sofa which converts to a double bed and has been modified to have a conventional wooden slat base similar to the queen master bed. The mattress is a good quality thick interior sprung mattress but of the softer variety and has been described by other guests as very comfortable. It would appear the softness was not to your liking and I'm really sorry about that, and had you contacted me I could have changed it for a firm orthopedic mattress. Unfortunately the Stayz listing criteria doesn't provide for bed description and there is limited scope for detail. My own paradisehouse website on the bookings page under 'more about Paradise House' does give very clear information about the bedroom & bed arrangements and covers the point you raised. The following is a copy & paste from the website. 'Paradise House provides contemporary, self-contained luxury accommodation at Boat Harbour Beach in north west Tasmania. The famed pristine white sands and crystal clear sea are just 38 steps down in front of Paradise House. The architect-designed holiday house accommodates up to six guests and has a master bedroom with queen bed and quality en suite bathroom and 32" flat screen TV, second bedroom with two single beds and a third bedroom with good quality double sofa bed + portacot. Bi-fold doors enable this room to become an extension to the spacious living area. Each bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, all bedding, towels and electric blankets. There is a second bathroom and separate toilet. The open plan, state-of-the-art kitchen is appointed with European appliances including a dishwasher and the contemporary lounge and dining area has a 42" flat screen smart internet connected television, high-speed NBN wi-fi internet, books and games. All rooms enjoy magnificent coastal views and verandas include a Webber barbecue. An internal lock-up garage has laundry, baby chair, gas BBQ, surf and boogie boards, wave skis, snorkels, flippers, fishing rods, bicycles and ball game equipment. Paradise House, located in a most beautiful seaside village on the north west coast, is 15 minutes drive from Wynyard Airport with car hire available and just over 90 min
Great location but not great for cleanliness
The following items were not up to acceptable standard of cleanliness and standard provision of supplies:
1. The kitchen table had not been wiped down; there was sand all over it.
2. The fridge and freezer hadn't been cleaned out. Fish bait and other food items had been left in the freezer.
3. No dish washing tablets were provided so we couldn't use the dishwasher. We had to hand wash all dishes and there was only one dish towel.
4. There was no body soap provided. All that was available was a container of used pieces of other people's soap. This is extremely unhygienic, and it is unacceptable to expect us to use other people's soap. Soap should be provided in a sealed package. We had to go out the next day and buy soap, shampoo and conditioner.
5. Batteries in the heat pump had run down. We had to use batteries from the remote control in the bedroom.
While the house itself and views of the beach are lovely, we found the cleanliness and facilities were certainly not up to the standard we expect when we pay $275 per night for what was advertised as a 'T-Qual assured' property.
All the facilities you need , comfortable with 2 great bathrooms and excellent water virws
Fabulous house in beautiful location
Spacious, comfortable house with great facilities and fabulous view.
Many thanks Louise for your wonderful review. As I don't ask my guests to provide reviews, it is especially rewarding when guests, like you, do provide a review. As you may have noticed during your stay, there are a huge number (100+?) of very positive guest comments in the Paradise House Guest Book with only one minor complaint that a previous guest hadn't cleaned the Webber BBQ after use. I so pleased you were blessed with a beautiful day on Saturday for the Wynyard Tulip Festival and hope you managed to see the spectacular display of tulips in the surrounding countryside. I'm sorry I was unable to catch up with you during your stay but hope I may be able to at a future date. Warm regards, Roger
