Beautiful, peaceful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend stay at Shingleback Ridge in July. There were 6 adults and we found there was plenty of space. The fireplace was a great addition especially in winter and the secluded location created a peaceful, serene atmosphere to the whole place. Kitchen well equipped for all our needs and Jacqueline was very easy to get in contact with. During our stay, we asked for a later check out and this was no issue at all. Just to keep in mind, the 800m track up to the house is a bumpy, dirt road, and had we not been in 4wd/AWD, I think it would have been much harder getting up. It was also about 20 minutes away from the centre of mudgee, but much closer to all the vineyards (which worked perfectly for us). It was also quite cold and though the house had the fireplace and several small heaters, I would still recommend bringing some very warm clothes. Thanks Jacqueline for a great weekend away!

Relaxing Weekend Away from the City

  • 4 of 5

Was a lovely spot to spend the weekend - the house itself is great and well maintained. Note though that the BBQ is at the back of the house and not on the deck outside so you miss the view if you plan to cook a BBQ - all in all though a great stay!

Fantastic property

  • 5 of 5

One of the most enjoyable properties we have stayed in - the views are amazing and the surrounding land is really fun to explore - the kids spent most of their time outside jumping on the boulders. We were visited by kangaroos and the drive into Mudgee is not far. The hot water is a little temperamental but this didn't bother us - we just spaced out our showers! We would definitely go back.

Fabulous stay!

Great family stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Secluded location in a beautiful location. The house was a lovely stay for our family. Only suggestion would another lounge area downstairs to enjoy the fire. We loved it!

Great Easter break

  • 4 of 5

We stayed Easter 2016, 2 couples and 3 children aged 6 to 10. Fabulous view. Children disappeared to climb the boulders on the property for hours on end. Well stocked pantry. Good standard of furnishings. Had a great time. Solitude and lack of WiFi was positive. Note: It is 25min to 30min drive to Mudgee. Hint, If you light the fire open the flu, lever on the left.
