Any questions will be promptly answered. Don't wonder - inquire now and find out what you have been missing with this outstanding holiday accommodation experience!

Bedding configuration

To best cater for you, please advise us beforehand, the nature of your group, such as number of couples, singles and children. This allows bedding to be set to match your party. The home can actually cater up to 12 guests if needed.

Master bedroom: Comfy queen bed, has air-conditioning and chandeliers. There's a sizable en-suite bathroom with separate shower, large claw foot bath that fits a cozy couple, a walk-in robe and separate toilet. Can have a double inner-sprung mattress on floor of this oversized master bedroom, for children, or an extra couple.

Queen bed. Wrap around windows bring nature right into your bedroom.

Front bedroom: Queen bed. Sunny morning views of the garden.

Side bedroom: 2x Single beds in a unique style with designer screw effect. Turned wood styled with spanners and nuts and screws - with a large wooden working nut that actually rotates on the end of the bed. This isn't an ordinary wood turned bed. Foam mattress under one of the beds for overflow guests or perhaps small children sleeping in mum and dad's room.

Cosy single bed, with sunny, morning garden views.

Single sofa bed with inner sprung mattress. A separate king-single foam mattress can also be set up here for kids slumber parties, or while watching a movie.

Guest bathroom has a claw foot bath and separate shower and toilet.

Cot: There is no cot at the premises, so you need to BYO, or have baby sleep with you. There is no extra per night charge for a baby, so only count guests who need a bed when booking. Plenty of room to put a cot in any of the bedrooms or elsewhere if need be.

Got a good portable cot or high chair almost don’t need it anymore? Feel free to leave it here if you want, & I’ll advertise it then as available for future families. Reduce, re-use, recycle! Nice to think your lovely cot will continue to be appreciated by others over time

Excellent layout for families, we had a family of 3 couples + 7 children under 7yrs.

Bikes, Scooters, the backyard with trampoline & swings kept them happy outside, with games, books, lots of toys inside everything plus more was provided. Excellent communication with Chris made the booking so easy nothing was a problem.

A lovely area to walk and cycle around. Lots to see and do in Bowral, and the gardens are so pretty at this time of the year. Thanks Chris

The property had some good features and initially promised a good, comfortable stay in Bowral.

But our stay was spoilt by inadequate heating in the second and third bedrooms. This caused our 13 month old grandchild to awaken cold, several times during the night (both nights), in turn causing her parents two very disturbed nights (in spite of extra clothing/layers on the second night).

Also we ran out of hot water after only one bath (shallow - for the baby) and 2 showers. This caused my wife and daughter to endure cold showers in order to get ready for a function we were attending.

The overall standard of cleanliness was also not good. For example much of the cutlery was stained and required hand washing before usage.

Sadly, as a consequence, we curtailed our stay heading home one day earlier than planned.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear, but the positive are there are some clear answers. Heating: It seems most likely the zones were not turned on for the two end bedrooms. This is zone three. It seems obvious this zone was not turned on, so heating would not get there of course! This would be a simple call to query and fix instantly. I do note we also have electric blankets in each bed (were they used) and portable oil heaters as well. Hot water: I am surprised to hear this comment, but went to check the meter box and discovered the hot water was set to summer setting. This was wrong, and I've no idea who changed it as it wasn't like that before. I switched it back to winter and voila - hot water was fine. I am so sorry, it must have been someone mucked up this setting, and had I known I would have most likely suggested you check the switch. Still - I have to wear this one! Cleanliness: If there was some staining of cutlery I do apologize. It is most helpful to get feedback like this, which allows us to re-check areas we may have missed. I presume there were not many other areas at issue? As specific comments are always good. Still, I'm happy to wear this feedback and do my best to address issues in future. It would have been good to get a call during the stay, as the two key areas above (heating+hot water) could have been addressed instantly, but I know the ideal is not to have to ask. With zone heating though, it is also a preference for some - and (also) sometimes the floor vents are closed, which stops heating. Again an easy one minute fix. I do hope you enjoyed some of the other features of my home during your stay though, and appreciate you leaving it so clean and tidy on your departure.

Lovely property in the heart of the Highlands

  • 4 of 5

My family and I spent a lovely Easter break at Chris's beautiful home. The space and layout was perfect for our family of 9. The house had everything we needed, was comfortable and well equipped and the kids loved the bonus of the trampoline in the back garden. The communication with Chris and his colleagues was great so thank you once again from us and we hope to be back soon!

Family fun in bowral

  • 4 of 5

We just spent two nights at this lovely property. It was nice to meet the owner Chris as we checked in and the lay out of the house was great. It accommodated our group of seven adults and four kids perfectly.

The grandkids never got swings trampoline etc etc that gave us big people heaps of peace!!! The house was warm and cosy when it was cold and blowy outside.there was even ice on top of the spa cover in the morning!

We loved the walk to Wombat hole plus looking at all the enchanting Spring gardens.

Thanks too that we could bring Harvey the baby poodle who behaved beautifully and enjoyed Bowral too,

Great property

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was at hand, with linen and towels provided no extra things to worry about it bringing. The heat recovery system kept the house at a comfortable temperature through the day and the ducted heating kept us warm when the heat recovery system wasn't enough. Very comfortable house for large group (11).
