Overview

About the property

The property is tucked away in a private and peaceful area of Ferguson Valley. A spacious two storey home situated on 10 acres, enjoys an absolutely stunning position adjacent to Crooked Brook Forest and working farms. The friendly resident kangaroos and other Australian wildlife are regularly seen grazing and drinking from the property's dam. With both Crooked Brook and Joshua Creek running through the property it offers magnificent rural views from every room making it a perfect holiday home.

One or two families can easily be accommodated comfortably in the four bedroom, three bathroom home. There are two separate living areas - one down and one up. The upstairs living area includes TV, video game console, music centre, and fusball table. The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas of the house are well suited to easy family life. An outdoor setting allows guests to make the most of this idyllic rural setting.

We highly recommend this charming house at any time of year. This is a wonderful location for families wishing to experience the Valley's ambiance and hospitality.

Ferguson Valley

Ferguson Valley is situated just two hours south of Perth. The home of “Gnomesville” offers a fantastic getaway amongst spectacular rolling hills, lush green pastures and natural Australian bushland. But the delights of Valley don't stop with the view:

• Taste award winning wines in one of Australia’s best new wine regions.

• Take in the relaxed scenery while enjoying some of the region’s finest foods.

• Visit galleries of local artists.

• Enjoy a picnic and walk through National Forests and Wellington Dam.

• Close to the Bibbulmun (walking) and Munda Bindi (cycling) tracks

For guests wishing to explore further, Bunbury and Busselton are a 30 minute drive and the Margaret River region is 90 minutes making it an ideal day trip.

Nice home. Good location

  • 4 of 5

Good home for a couple and children. Very warm but I imagine hot in summer. Single bedrooms not comfortable for adults.

Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely amazing! We were 6 adults and a baby but the house is so spacus we never felt on top of each other. Each couple had their own bathroom. The facilities were perfect, log fire, games room, coffee machine! Short drive to all the surrounding attractions.

If you are after a beautiful peaceful retreat away from the hussle & bustle then this is the place for you! Heads up though, there is no phone signal or wifi so if you can't disconnect from the world this may not be the place for you! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again.

Magic spot

  • 5 of 5

This is the loveliest spot. About a 20 minute drive from some wonderful food, wine, beer and galleries. The accommodation is lovely and feels quite luxurious for what we thought was a very reasonable price. Lots of birds flitting about, cows in the field and evidence of kangaroos though we didn't see any. The best equipped kitchen I've seen too. My only minor quibble was a stained towel in one bathroom and the towels were a wee bit damp. We even got to make use of the outdoor seating when the sun came out... definitely somewhere to go back to.
