Charming cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in The Hideaway Swansea for 3 nights in April with our daughter and friends. We all loved our stay. The house is a the typical style beach house we remembered from our childhood, the difference being it is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The views of the water from the living room and the 2 main bedrooms are magnificent. The fireplace makes for such cosy evenings that we ate in each night. There is an excellent BBQ and plenty of pots and pans. The only downside is that the bathroom is very basic and the shower small but we were so happy with the accommodation we didn't care. would definitely recommend and love to stay again.

The best

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights with our three children aged 10, 8 and 5 and had the best time imaginable. Just looking out the windows was enough to make you feel like you'd had a massage - the pictures on the website are great but nothing prepares you for the real thing. The house was beautiful, and you could see that every piece of furniture, art, linen, etc had been chosen and placed with care and an eye for detail. The kids loved the beach and the rocks, where we spent hours. We will be back.

Amazing View, Location outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Hideaway for 3 gorgeous nights with our family. It was spacious enough for all of us and we found that the description perfectly matched the accommodation. The kids enjoyed rock hopping at low tide, the little track took them straight to a little private cove. When the tide was out, it was a beautiful, easy walk into town along the beach (with a bit of rock climbing to avoid wet feet). We existed the beach at the stairs behind the store, making this our preferred method of getting into town each day! We made good use of the fireplace and found it warmed the whole house adequately, and found the little extra touches, like the nespresso machine, a welcome addition. Thanks Andrew, we absolutely loved your little piece of paradise and look forward to planning our next trip to Tasmania, hopefully with a stay at the Hideaway within our itinerary. It's hard to get out of bed in the morning with a view like that!

Basic beach shack but great views

  • 2 of 5

Recently painted and stuffy opened windows no fly screens over whelmed with bugs in no time. No hair dryer Laundry and bathroom combined

no direct access to beach. Left after one night too basic for us, but has great views

Fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

Perched on the headland, this house offers spectacular views of the bay and Freychinet from the living room and both bedrooms. Coupled with a log fire and comfy lounges it was difficult to leave to explore this lovely area.
