Villa, 3+ Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 7-10)
This large 3+-bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation home is located amongst beautiful redwoods, on the bank of Matanzas Creek, on a 26 acre property, all situated in the heart of Bennett Valley, in Sonoma County. Oak trees, redwoods, and 100 year old bay trees as well as Matanzas Creek surround the house. The 3000+ sq.ft. house was remodeled in 2008, and brand new high quality furniture and appliances make the place exceptionally comfortable and easy to use.
As beautiful as the inside is, the outside is incredible. The majestic redwoods and bay trees decorate the large 2000 sq.ft. patio adjacent to Matanzas Creek, all surrounded by year long green vegetation. In season various flowers adorn the whole environment. The patio in the front and the deck adjacent to the kitchen are generously furnished, ready for outdoor entertainment and cooking, with two large grills, four heat lamps and two fire pits. Finally, yet importantly are the trails, alongside the creek under the breathtaking trees.
The children will enjoy the toys, kids power wheels, the bicycles, the basketball hoop, as well as the play structure and swings which make the whole place a heaven for kids. They can also run around the trails, in the vineyard , up and down the trees and just have a great time.
The Vineyard: The 10 acre vineyard consists of twelve blocks of different varietals and clones. Each season brings its own charm and beauty to the vineyard. The buds start coming out in spring and in September when the leaves start changing colors, it is amazing to look at the majestic grape bunches hanging from the vines.

Breathtaking enclave in redwood forested vineyard
Gorgeous property set among redwoods in an active vineyard. The photos don't do it justice. Felt like home, the hosts were gracious with special welcoming touches; every single item one could hope to have in your own home was available to a family ages, 2 though 70. We attended our son's (successful) Iron Man triathlon, but could have easily spent the whole five days on the property. Charming wineries and parks close by.
This Stay has Everything
Our stay here was perfect for our large family. The 4yrs old granddaughter enjoyed all the playground fun including the pirate treasure hidden in the woods. The grounds are incredible with a babbling brook and bridges to walk across, along with huge red woods. The home was warm and inviting, with large bedrooms and space to spread out. Shawn went out of his way to welcome us, with roses and a gift basket of goodies. I highly recommend this property!!!
This property is incredible. Your own private vineyard. Greay place to stay with family and friends. We found ourselves cooking dinner instead of going out just so we could enjoy more time on property. The pictures don't do it justice.
Amazing vineyard respite!
Absolutely beautiful property including both the large home and the lovely grounds! Our group of seven totally enjoyed our stay and truly appreciated the welcome basket filled with yummy coffee and a bottle of wine from the property's vineyard. One day we found surprise treats of fresh farm eggs and tomatoes. Walking around the vineyard ripe with fruit was amazing both at sunrise and sunset! One morning during our stay a young couple in our group became engaged on top of the hill in the vineyard. What a great memory! We would highly recommend a visit!
A first class property!
We had an amazing stay at this home. The amenities were all above par and the location was perfect for our extended family. The grandchildren enjoyed playing with the bikes, balls and playground, while the adults were able to relax on the beautiful patio. We had fun watching the grape harvest and the turkeys that roam the area.
Shawn responded to all my emails within an hour or two. We had no reason to contact him while we were at the property. Although he had noticed the foosball game needed new balls so he dropped some off for us. We would all love to return for another stay. I highly recommend this property.
An outstanding home in a perfect location
Our stay at Moaveni Vineyards far exceeded our expectations. We were a group of family and friends, eight adults from four states who met up in Sonoma to celebrate my “special” birthday. The house was beautiful, equipped with everything we needed (and more) to make our stay wonderful. The inside was spacious, clean, well-maintained and comfortably furnished, but it was the outside we loved even more. Some of the things we especially enjoyed were: the fire pit (with plenty of wood to keep it going on chilly nights); the outdoor “kitchen” including a beautiful gourmet grill, sink and fridge; the magnificent views of the vineyards in the front; giant redwoods all around; wild blackberries and herbs ready for picking; the family of wild turkeys marching down the aisles of the vineyard every morning; the full moon poised between the redwoods; the chickens and the rooster crowing at dawn (OK – maybe not everyone appreciated the rooster); the beautifully landscaped gardens; the trails around the property. I could go on; the pride Shawn takes in his property is well-deserved.
As a property owner, Shawn was a pleasure to deal with. We had some trouble with our internet connection when we first arrived, but one quick call to Shawn resolved that. And he left us a lovely gift basket with coffee, chocolate and a bottle of his own delicious wine.
We were also pleased with the location of Moaveni Vineyards. It’s just a 10-minute drive to the delightful town of Glen Ellen, where there’s a wonderful market and some great restaurants (we really loved Glen Ellen Star). And we took Uber to Sonoma so we were free to enjoy our dinner at the girl and the fig with great wine pairings without the concern of driving back.
If there was one thing (just one thing) we could have used, it was additional bathroom space. The master bedroom with its en suite bathroom was perfect for one couple, but for our group that left 6 adults sharing the remaining 1.5 bathrooms. Overall, maybe that’s a small shortcoming for a home that truly lacks nothing else. I hope we have the opportunity to return soon.
