About the property

Bushman's Clock is located on the road between the scenic North Walkerville beach, 4 kilometres to the south, and the picturesque village of Fish Creek 15 kilometres to the north. You will find Wilsons Promontory National Park, a 25-minute journey away.

The cottage sitting room boasts wonderful views over the 10-acre property across verdant farming land towards the sea and beyond. Take a deck chair out onto the verandah and let your cares slip away. Enjoy magnificent sunrises and sunsets and the activities of native animals and birds as they go about their daily business.

The large bedroom also has sensational views, and is furnished with a quality king size bed which can be separated to create twin beds upon request.

Adjoining the bedroom is a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower, vanity and lavatory. There is gas infinity hot water and a hairdryer.

We can supply a fold out single bed if needed but please note the bathroom can only be accessed from the bedroom.

Gas heating ensures you are comfortable during cooler weather. So snuggle down on the sofa and watch a movie on the DVD player or read a book from the shelf.

Bushman's Clock is set on 10 glorious acres of coastal, eucalypt woodland four kilometres from Walkerville North adjacent to the Cape Liptrap Coastal Reserve.

Well maintained pathways meander through the bush to viewing points and open meadows with drifts of native orchids providing places for the perfect picnic.

The beautiful beaches of Walkerville North and South, Sandy Point and Waratah Bay are just down the road, but once you've settled in at Bushman's Clock you won't ever want to leave.

NICE ....BUT....It is getting a bit tired!

  • 3 of 5

It is a pleasant location but the property needs an update.....from the rusty fly wire door that welcomes you, to the carpet which is getting a bit old and musty, to the outside which would love a fresh coat of paint!!

The view is great , but the wind farms unfortunately detract from the scene.

We did have some difficulty initially with the booking, but finally established that no linen was provided in the daily rate quoted!

The property was nice and quite, and we were very lucky that the house on the property was unoccupied for our stay. If there were tenants there it would dramatically change the ambience as they are right on your front door!

On balance, we could not recommend this property to others.

Beautiful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Bushman's clock! It was so peaceful and relaxing amongst the beautiful surrounds and wildlife. The cottage provided us with everything we needed, so we were able to enjoy our holiday worry free.

Definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay again - loved every moment! Close to the beach too, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful serenity of this so wonderful part of the world.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

Myself and my partner really enjoyed out stay at the cottage. It was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend away. The surrounding area is so peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed doing walks with our dog at the Cape liptrap coastal park and sandy point. The bed was super comfortable and there were some great DVDs and games in the cottage to keep us entertained on a cold winter night. Would definitely stay again.

Cosy and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I throughly enjoyed staying at the cottage. It was a very cold weekend but it was very toasty and warm in the cottage. The cottage had good amenities, everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. Great views of farmland, very tranquil. Would definitely stay there again.

Great space! Quiet ambiance, spectacular view!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and comfortable, with a king double bed, large bathroom and plenty of DVD's to view when the weather was inclement.

I'd like to see some sharper knives in the kitchen but otherwise it was well stocked, with excellent coffee bags, sugar & tea, etc. Don't bring too much for the fridge, as it's only small.

We loved the comfy two-seater and were very cosy and comfortable during all of our stay.
