Not too far from the lovely town of Macksville is The Pub With No Beer at Taylor's Arm.
The heritage town of Bowraville is also within easy driving distance, as is iconic Bellingen, the beautiful Nambucca Heads, Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour, with its many attractions.
Great local cycle tracks are available along the Nambucca River at Nambucca Heads, also at Urunga and Coffs Harbour.
Patrolled surf beaches are close by - drive: 5 minutes to Valla Beach; 8 minutes to Hungry Head Beach; 10 minutes to Nambucca Heads Beach; 15 minutes to Coffs Harbour Beach - note: many beaches are patrolled in the summer season
