The spectacular Southern Ocean coastline, West Cape Howe National Park, The Nullaki Peninsula, Torbay and both Denmark and Albany are less that 20 - 30 minutes away. Nearby are some of Western Australia's most awarded wineries, restaurants and produce farms as well as the tall Karri (Valley Of The Giants) forest regions of Nornalup National Park and the popular Tree Top Walk near Walpole.
The house has been recently constructed and features a large well equipped kitchen and generous family areas and comfortably sleeps up to eight. A large wood fired heater keeps this spacious house toasty warm in the cooler months. All bed, bathroom and kitchen linen including blankets and doonas are supplied as standard. A feature is the large elevated outdoor deck that overlooks a beautiful native garden and Karri forest. A family of friendly Australian Possums visit the deck most nights and are happy to be hand fed and petted in return for a tasty sweet treat or banana.
An exciting range of holiday activities are available directly on the property. Bush walking, fishing, kayaking, birdwatching or just relaxing while soaking up the ambiance of this special place. The abundant forest and aquatic bird life on the adjacent Nenamup Inlet is truly spectacular and bird lovers will be in paradise. A quiet paddle in our kayaks or canoe will introduce you to many species of water birds that inhabit the area including black swans, ducks, pelicans, spoonbills, egrets and ibises. The famous Bibbulmun Track is accessible year round and passes just a couple of kilometres down the road.
We are pleased to offer hire kayaks and canoes for exclusive use on your own private inlet forming part of Wolfes Landing property. Two single seat and one two seat kayaks plus a two seat Canadian canoe are provided. All vessels are state of the art, sturdy and safe and one is designed for fishing from as well. Safety equipment is supplied as standard. Please inquire about the other kayaking options and locations available (the Wilson Inlet, Hay River and Hartmans Beach).
The local fishing is superb and will suit all ages with a choice of ocean, beach, inlet and river venues to test your skill. Check out the photos in the image gallery. Big King George whiting, Black and Silver Bream and Pink Snapper can be caught from the bank of the Wilson Inlet. Boat and rock fishing is another dimension with big Sampson Fish, and Tuna year round and Salmon in season from Easter. We are only minutes from the ocean with a handy boat launching ramp just a few minutes drive down the road on the Wilson Inlet. If you book be sure to bring your fishing gear. If you prefer we can hire you a range of fishing tackle to suit the youngest beginner to the serious fisho at a very reasonable rate as well as all the local advice you need to get among the big ones. Basic beginner kits are available.
A large flat screen TV and a Blue Ray DVD/CD system is supplied. Just bring your own USBs, CDs, DVDs or portable disc drive based movies and music.
Babies or toddlers up to two years old are admitted for a flat nightly fee of AU$20 if they sleep in a cot. We provide two quality cots (one drop side and one porta-cot). Both cots have mattresses and liners but you will need to bring your own cot linen. Please advise us if your little on sleeps in a cot using the guest comments section of your inquiry form.
We are pet friendly and pet owners and pets will revel in the ample grounds (nearly 30 acres) of open spaces and virgin native forest in which to explore and run. Please note that we only permit dogs that are adequately socialised to safely interact with with other dogs and people. Therefore prospective guests should note that this is an important consideration if you intend bringing your dog. These issues can be clarified prior to making a booking by contacting us direct where we are happy to advise you. We also have a secure and comfortable pet enclosure where you dog can be accommodated for up to a day if you need to visit a national park or restaurant during your stay.
A pet fee of $25/pet is required to be paid upon arrival. This is to offset the additional cleaning required after pet friendly stays.

Relaxing place to stay in a serene location
We were impressed the moment we arrived as we realised how remote and serene the location is. The accommodation was neat, clean and comfortable and ideal for a family of four. We loved that we were able to have our staffy with us who was as impressed as us by the location.
John was very welcoming and helpful, lighting the fire for us as we arrived and bringing new wood daily. He provided us lots of helpful information regarding tourist attractions. Our kids felt at ease and welcomed playing across the property and soon made friends with John's granddaughter.
We enjoyed our stay so much we had wished to extend it, however unsurprisingly new guests were expected. We will certainly be back and strongly recommend others to stay here.
Nice modern cottage in quiet setting
Spent a restful week here in April. It's a recently built modern cottage in a lovely quiet setting in the trees, helpful owners and dog-friendly. Enjoyed walks with the dog on spectacular Anvil beach just down the road.
Thanks Michael, Emma and Jean. We appreciate your custom and are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Hopefully see you back again for the third time.

Weekend at The Nullaki Eco Retreat
We had an amazing stay at The Nullaki Eco Retreat The house was amazing with very spacious rooms, the kitchen had everything you need and the wood fire was the best bit as well as the remote and quiet location, with great views. Great place for nature lovers and to just chill out.
Our host John was most hospitable and accommodating, and we would highly recommend Nullaki Eco Retreat to anyone, especially if you have the time to settle in for a few days, relax and unwind.
We also got to see the local friendly possums that like to eat fruit off the deck from you hand.
We will definitely be back
Such a gem.
My husband & I, where extremely impressed from the moment we arrived, to be greeted by our host John & his poodle Bodhi. The house is presented well & we felt right at home, from the moment we walked in. We absolutely loved the outside deck, which was fully enclosed for our dog JT, to relax & explore. We stayed just recently in April 2018, for a period of 3 nights and found it the perfect base, to explore the surrounding areas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nullaki Eco Retreat - for it was so peaceful, listening to the sounds of nature. If you are looking for pet friendly accommodation, you can go now further than this lovely home. For it is one of the best, we have ever stayed in & shall look forward to staying again.
Thank you John & Valerie, for such a lovely time away.
Kerry & Trevor.
Thank you for your very generous review Kerry and Trevor. We enjoyed meeting you too (and JT). Woof woof from Bodhi.
Family with dog.
The accomodation was very clean, modern and well maintained with everything provided in the way of pots, pans and utensils to cook meals and make yourself at home. We loved that we were able to bring our dog along, he enjoyed walking along the nearby tracks and playing fetch on the open lawn nearby. We used the fully enclosed dog kennel which is similar in size to a garden shed. He was quite happy to be left there for 3-4 hours at a time which gave us time to enjoy the beautiful local beaches, many of which allow dogs but it was a bit hot for him to come along on some of the days.
John and Valerie provided a short guide of the best places/beaches to visit for 4wding, fishing, swimming and places to eat. This came with directions from the property, John is such a friendly guy that we felt comfortable calling him for directions or asking advice about activities. We got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to answer questions. Our kids really enjoyed kayaking on the inlet just 20 metres from the house and playing hide and seek with the dog in and around the bush. The deck is a lovely place to read a book or have a meal outside.
We also got to see the local possums that like to eat banana off the deck. Our kids could not keep their eyes open waiting for the creatures to pay us a visit in the evenings. Usually about 9-10pm during our stay, with the outside lights off.
John and Valerie do such a good job of keeping the house clean and freshly painted that you should expect to keep your dog outside as much as possible and respect their lovely house by only bringing well mannered dogs with you.
Would definitely stay at this house again, perfect place to relax and unwind
Perfect place for a wilderness retreat
We were so happy with the accomodation. Loved that the house was quite secluded and in the wilderness. Spacious rooms, clean, big living room and a very modern kitchen with all the appliances and utensils that you would need for an extended stay.
John and Valerie have also provided a short guide of the best places/beaches to visit for 4wding, fishing, swimming and a meal. These came with directions from the Nullaki property which was fantastic.
We also got to see the local possums that are quite tame and like to eat banana.
Would definitely stay at this house again, perfect place to relax and unwind
