About the property

Cygnet Hill cottage is a recently renovated, comfortable cottage on a peaceful gated small farm. It has all modern conveniences, including fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath, additional cloak room and laundry with wheelchair access.

The cottage has Tasmanian wood floors, attractive furniture, rugs and artworks; a mixture of traditional and new. A Tasmanian cottage at its best! Also pet friendly!

It has two bedrooms one with comfortable queen bed and one with the option of a double or two twin beds.

You will enjoy spectacular views over Port Cygnet and the Cygnet Yacht club as well as easy access to Cygnet town, being less than 5 minutes from its amenities.

This cottage offers both comfort and farm and country experience as you wake up to spectacular sunrises over Mount Cygnet. Breakfast on the deck, evening meal on the western facing sunny patio with bbq facilities.

We often see spectacular rainbows and you may be lucky enough to glimpse the lights of the Southern Aurora.

We provide a welcome pack of some Tasmanian delicacies and a first day breakfast pack and for stays over 4 days a bottle of Tasmanian wine.

The kitchen is modern and well equipped if you want to cook some of the excellent local produce.

Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional deposit and cost of $25 per stay.

The accommodation is run on good ecological principles with solar and hydro electricity and local and low impact construction materials.

We have a discount loyalty program for repeat guests, and their family and friends and longer term guests. Please ask for a special rate! Normally we have a three night minimum, this is needed to see all the attractions of this area.

Set on a Farm - sample Tasmanian country life and its Native Fauna. Well behaved dogs welcome.

As well as a herd of amusing Cashmere goats, Toulouse geese and hens. You and/or your children may wish to feed and pat the animals, collect fresh eggs and use our fresh garden produce, particularly a variety of fresh herbs.

You can see wallabies, mostly pademelons, possums, rabbits (unfortunately) and you may get to see quolls and Tasmanian devils, perhaps only on camera. We are frequently visited by wedgetail eagles and have a variety of other birds such as green parrots, blue wrens, lapwing plovers, ravens, wild ducks and kingfishers.

Beautiful Cottage

Tastefully renovated and beautifully presented cottage on the hill with gorgeous views to the bay. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and the children loved running down the hill to help feed the goats each evening. Cant wait to visit again.
