Overview

About the property

SkyView is a superb family holiday destination or an ideal getaway for couples. Set on 150 acres of manicured rolling green hills, SkyView enjoys arguably the best views in a country resort with sweeping views over lakes, glades and the lush green manicured golf course, down the length of Kangaroo Valley. Everything is supplied, so simply bring yourselves, your food & luggage and relax in fully air conditioned comfort. Skyview Villa now has the Aspire range of mattresses from Sealy Posturepedic, thus ensuring guests the best possible night's sleep.

SkyView is a beautifully appointed, very comfortable, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, spacious, split level, modern villa. SkyView is poised high up, positioned a few metres away from the 8th tee of the Jack Newton designed 18 hole, par 72, professional golf course. SkyView is in a safe location relative to the golf course so is safe for families with children. SkyView is easily accessed by car on sealed roads.

The Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Resort is set high on 150 acres of prime, lush land on the edge of the Kangaroo Valley Escarpment. Resplendent with undulating fairways, trees and lakes it is a divine getaway destination for those seeking to put ones feet up and wind down. Or if one feels so inclined there are a wide array of amazing activities to immerse oneself in and enjoy. Many unique and varied attractions exist within a short drive away.

Relax & Unwind or Explore & Enjoy. Fresh country Air, Deluxe Accommodation and Wonderful Views are only part of what there is to enjoy

SkyView's stunning views set the backdrop for a relaxing holiday where it is all too easy to unwind. The comfortable and well appointed villa will keep you at just the right temperature with 4 air-conditioner units throughout. A fully equipped kitchen plus a Weber BBQ ensures that life's culinary pursuits can be well catered for if you should so choose. A Nespresso coffee machine allows the enjoyment of a delectable espresso cup of coffee whenever the desire arises.

Austar plus a small library of movies via a 50 inch LCD TV set in the lounge provides quality entertainment for the whole family. A 42 inch TV set in the downstairs queen bedroom provides either private viewing in bed or a place for the kids to be entertained while mum and dad have peace and quite in the lounge. Two DVD players allow hired DVD's from Kangaroo Valley Village to be enjoyed or you can choose from the small in-house library. Enjoyment of your favourite music has not been forgotten with a Bluetooth speaker that will allow you to enjoy your favourite music that is on your own smart device.

SkyView Villa is positioned right on the edge of the golf course but is located in such a manner so as to be completely safe from any stray golf balls. Apart from the golf course the resort offers you bush walks, two tennis courts, a swimming pool, a volley ball court (with beach sand so it can also be used as a giant sand pit for young children) and giant chess for you to enjoy. This is all included in your accommodation except of course the cost of playing golf.

A Huge Selection of Sights, Food and Activities Await you a Short Drive Away

Kangaroo Valley Village is a short 5 minute drive away. The picturesque historic trust listed village offers the visitor many experiences that make a holiday so much more enjoyable. From cafes, pie shop and bakery to lolly emporium and ice cream shop, ensure that both young and old are catered for. The Friendly Inn is a wonderful venue for great outdoor meals in its large garden. Basketball courts and a swimming pool are only five minutes away from the village by foot.

Local country markets are a wonderful day out for delicious delectables and those unusual hard to find bargains. Some of the local markets are:

1) Kangaroo Valley Markets = 2nd Saturday of the month at the Kangaroo Valley Showgrounds, 8.30 am to 2.30 pm (except February). This is a smaller market.

2) Berry County Fair = 1st Sunday of the month at the Berry Showgrounds, 35 Alexandra Street, Berry (except February).

3) Bowral Markets = 2nd Saturday of the month at the Bowral Public School, 8 am to 1 pm (check website for further details).

Across the historic castellated sand stone Hampden Bridge, the Pioneer Museum offers visitors a detailed insight into how the original inhabitants of Kangaroo Valley lived during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. Filled with many interesting displays plus an optional short bushwalk across a suspended swing bridge, this is a must for all visitors.

The Kangaroo Valley River offers sensational but safe swimming and canoeing. Easy parking and access near the Hampden Bridge make this a great fun day for family and couples like. Tallowa Dam is a beautiful and interesting spot to have a picnic or do some fantastic fishing. See the fish lift that was installed to help conserve local aquatic wildlife. Horse riding and bicycle hire (next to the Pioneer Musuem) will allow you to enjoy the gorgeous valley from a different perspective.

The Lookout Cambewarra Mountain is worthwhile visiting with magnificent sweeping views up and down the coastal plain from high up. The cafe offers a basic selection of cafe fair that will allow you to soak up the amazing views while enjoying lunch.

Below is a list of further attractions for families and couples that are slightly further afield (most are about half an hour to an hour away):

Serenity and space

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful lodging here for a Wedding. We usually stay elsewhere but fully booked due to the Wedding so thought this accommodation would be different. It was spacious with wonderful views and added luxuries such as electric blankets and heat in all rooms. Only plus would be a couple of coffee pods as we forgot to bring ours even though this is mentioned - but had no time to run out and get some...

Loved the DVD's and Austar to catch some movies (family time) after a big drive and the BBQ to settle in....

We would certainly stay again.

Super wonderful/friendly hosts too who clearly love their place..

Such a beautiful & breath-taking place.

We went there for a quiet, peaceful weekend and discovered it's absolutely beautiful and really serene. A perfect place to unwind and relax and just enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you there. Love the kangaroos.

Peaceful views

  • 3 of 5

Beautiful views and comfortable villa however, guests need to be aware that "Skyview" is just one building in a row.

Our villa wasn't as clean as expected on arrival but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Hi Madelaine, I am delighted to hear that you found SkyView Villa comfortable with beautiful views and that you enjoyed your stay. Regarding SkyView Villa being part of a country resort this is clearly communicated in Stayz. Within the second line of our listing, we state “in a country resort” and then further along “The Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Resort”. As SkyView Villa is part of the resort we are not the only individual house in the resort and most guests have described the experience as peaceful and/or relaxing (the resort is rarely busy). One of the benefits of being part of a resort is that you then have free access (except golf) to all of the resorts amenities (golf, tennis, swimming, walks, volley ball, giant chess, etc). I have left a few messages on your mobile in order to try find out exactly what it was that you were not entirely satisfied with regarding the cleaning. When I spoke with our cleaners they did not report anything out of the ordinary and their history to-date has been almost always 5 stars. Regardless thank you for your feedback and we do hope to see you again. Keep well.
