Coming to Hobart? Don't book a standard hotel! Make your time in Hobart an experience you will remember. Stay in a Circa 1900, fully renovated and re-juvenated townhouse. This will be your home away from home and add to your memories of Old Hobart Town. Within an easy and level stroll to the Hobart CBD or a similar walk to North Hobart restaurants you will certainly be handy to the attractions without being right in the middle of the action.
The townhouse itself retains all the features of the era, with stained timber stairs (yes they are a bit steep but that's the way they built them over 100 years ago), ceiling roses, fireplaces with mantles, sash windows and the most superb polished floorboards you will find. The rear kitchen and conveniences have recently been re-built to add a touch of modern practicality without losing the overall charm of this wonderful building.
Included are quality timber furnishings, all linen, floor rugs, fully equiped kitchen, two queen size beds with side tables and everything to make your stay comfortable. There is a reverse cycle heat pump, panel heater, portable heaters and wood heater, just in case the unpredicable Tasmanian weather is new to you.
If you haven't tried short stay accommodation before then why not give it a go. We have many satisfied guests over many years. We offer value for money and the comfort and flexibility of providing a full home away from home. Where you can choose to go out and enjoy the sights and sounds of Hobart or maybe just stay in and chill out.
There are 2 bedrooms, both with queen size beds. There is also a fold out bed and port-a-cot available upon request. Please let us know if you require either of these items prior to your stay.
Parking is on-street only. There are 1 and 2 hour spots available and some all day spots nearby. Parking restrictions only apply during business hours and you will be almost guaranteed to get a spot either outside or within 20 meters of the house.

We had a nice time in Tassi, stairs were dangerous as they are very worn and very slippery, also we had no Wi fi for the time we were there it did not work,Beds were more than comfortable and the bath was amazing.
I was really impressed with this town house. It was very well appointed; all furniture was modern, and the beds and linen were very comfortable. Both bedrooms were very spacious.
Justin made everything simple. There were no hassles and everything was thought of, from keyless entry to the little things like washing powder, spare heaters etc.
The entire property was cleaned, and the linen is professionally cleaned and pressed.
The only thing I would note is the stairs. There's nothing Justin can do about these, but they are very steep and not suitable for the elderly.
Perfect place to stay for a week in Hobart
We (4 Adults) stayed here during Dark Mofo. This location was perfect for us. Were able to walk down to the market district and harbour easily within 12-15mins. We walked between the townhouse and the CBD multiple times daily with no issues. There is some lovely cafe's a couple of streets away which was great for breakfast/lunch. We were able to buy some food and cook in the lovely kitchen to help offset some of the holiday costs. I have nothing negative to say about this place - and i would 100% book again for next year. I emailed the owner/manager beforehand to negotiate an earlier check in which was fantastic for us as we were in Hobart early . I feel maybe for older people that have issues with stairs, be advised inside staircase is narrow and steep - the bedrooms are upstairs and the toilet is downstairs. I would say this place for perfect for families, friends, couples looking for a nice place to stay.
We are currently staying here 2 kids and 3 adults. Perfect for all of us. 4 yr old managed to walk down to Salamanca markets (just) but was fine once we got there. Very quiet and an amazing playground just up the hill which the kids just loved. We were luckily here over the weekend as there are restrictions with parking mon-Fri.
Great Hobart stay!
The name "Best of old and new" says it all! Hassle free accommodation.
