Amazing house with a couple exceptions

  • 4 of 5

This house was amazing. We were looking for a house with plenty to do so we didn't need to go anywhere and this was perfect. There was plenty of room for the 5 couples traveling with us. Games, movies, tvs, and lots of space.

Upon arriving at 3:00 on Friday, there was a note saying the tv in the main living area didn't work and someone would come by later to look at it. Property manager came by that evening but couldn't fix it so he left without a plan to fix it. I contacted the property manager later to see what we could do about it and she basically said not much could be done since it was the weekend. However, clearly they knew about the problem before the weekend since the note was left before 3:00 on Friday. We had 5 men with us that we knew would be watching basketball all day on Saturday. If we wanted to see them, we would need that main tv working. Our husbands all tried to fix it and couldn't. After continuing to ask her about it, she said she would call the company the next morning. TV was finally working around 11:00am on Saturday after the tech came to fix it. He was there about 45 minutes to an hour. Wifi also wasn't working on Friday night. She said we could come get the key to the closet so we could reset it from her house that night, or she could bring it by the next morning. We had already started cocktails so that night was not an option for us. She brought the key around 10:30am on Saturday when the technician was there. I just don't feel she was very accommodating. Had I not been insistent, we would've gone the weekend without either. TV and wifi are pretty big amenities when looking for a weekend getaway home. We all had children at home and not great cell service. My only other complaint were the stinkbugs. They were flying around, crawling on the walls. We also found them on the counters, table, beds, etc. The house was not dirty at all, maybe just needs some exterminating. I know they're harmless but still kind of gross. We really did love the house with all the bedrooms and bathrooms, great kitchen and dining space. Loved the decor as well. Plenty of linens in every room. Washer/dryer was great also. Overall, a great home and we enjoyed our weekend!

Wonderful Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had our family Christmas reunion at the Last Resort and it was absolutely perfect. We had a surprise snowstorm and the owners made sure that we were taken care of and had snow shovels delivered to us. We had family drop in and out over the weekend and this house is amazingly accommodating for large groups/families. We will definitely stay again. Everything was as promised and the house and property are truly amazing.
