The Tree House is a three story, four bedroom and two bathroom timber house built over Cedar Creek. Due to the hight over the creek from the verandahs the Tree House is not suitable for children under the age of eight.
Power is generated for the Tree House via a hydro system which runs off Cedar creek, plus a solar system. These systems provide all the Tree House's power needs via 24v and 240v.
The power is stored in batteries so watching the watts is needed like a water tank, it is limited. Because the power is limited and not connected to the grid we ask guests not to bring any items with heating elements eg. coffee making machines, hair dryers or straighteners, cooking crocks ect, or amplifiers, electric instruments as they will drain the batteries and not leave enough power for lights, TV, sound system, computer. Items guests can bring are phone and computers for charging.
If guests want unlimited power we can organise a generator at additional cost.
The property looks over Cedar Creek and the park like gardens which are nestled in the rainforest. A natural pool below the house offers guests refreshing dips or just a tranquil place to sit.
A park like environment merging into the rainforest with the sounds of Cedar Creek flowing below the house.
We do not promote parties at the Tree House and limit guests to 8 due to power constraints and a septic system. If guests want to have an event eg wedding then this can be negotiated with owners so we can cater to a higher number of people and power needs.
We welcome guests who want to experience an exceptional natural environment and who want to stay at accommodation which is the closest available to the summit of Mt Warning. The Tree House has stunning scenery and and a comfortable venue for R&R, a wonderful place to appreciate a piece of paradise.
Tweed Region Northern New South Wales.
Situated within the caldera of Mt Warning and abutting the Wollumbin World Heritage National Park, the Tree House stands on the banks of Cedar Creek which it overlooks.
The Tweed Region offers many environments from the beautiful ocean beaches of Kingscliff and Cabarita to the majestic and ancient rainforests of the National Park.
The Tweed, in particular Murwillumbah, offer cultural attractions like the Margaret Olley exhibition at the Tweed Art Gallery.
Whale watching from anywhere on the Tweed coast particularly Hastings and Fingal is special as are the surfing opportunities at Cabarita and Duranbah.
Byron is only 3/4 hour drive and the Gold Coast Airport about an hour making the Tree House, "not too fare away but just far enough!"

The images don't do this beautiful place justice
We had an incredible stay - comfortable, very spacious, quiet, and beautiful. The house is like a getaway location from a dream, and I can't recommend it, nor thank the host enough. We'll be back for absolute certain.
Thank you Sam for your lovely review. The Tree House is a very special place and we are delighted that you and your guests enjoyed your stay. You are very welcome back. cheers Gayle
Stunning spot truly in the rainforest
When it says a treehouse above the creek in the rainforest, that is truly what it is. Incredible spot, surrounded by nature.
Thanks Nicole its great to hear you enjoyed your stay with your family and loved exploring for frogs and the myriad of other life that is abundant at the Tree House!
Beautiful house over Cedar Creek
The house and the property exceeded expectations. The house really does sit right next to the creek and the sound of rushing water fills the air. It is such a peaceful and beautiful surrounding. It feels like you are sitting right up high in the trees with a beautiful creek rushing down the hill before it turns away right in front of the house. The grounds are also very beautiful. It is serenity itself. My family used the well stocked kitchen to create lovely meals and wonderful memories and yet another fabulous time way together. Thank you Tree House, Gayle and her family.
Thank you Julianne it was lovely to meet your beautiful family and it gives us great pleasure when guest's expectations are exceeded. TH left immaculate so thank you again, we look forward to your return. cheers Gayle
A magical location
Had the most amazing stay and weekend away at the Mt Warning Tree House. The property owner Gayle was there to meet us on arrival and was so delightful to deal with. She was so accomodating and explained the ins and outs of the property. I couldn't recommend the property more highly. It was secluded and we really felt we had our own private piece of paradise, completed uninterrupted by anyone. The only note I would make to others that want to stay is the mobile phone service is very very average on the property... You can really only receive a txt message if you leave your phone in one spot... But it was pretty much impossible to make or receive calls or use internet anywhere at the house.... But we loved that we had the lack of phone service... Made the stay even better and relaxing! Many thanks again Gayle, your place is amazing and magical... There was no need to leave as you have provided anyone who stays with all they need!
Thanks for your praises Louise and it was a pleasure to meet you and your family and are very welcome back to our special place. cheers Gayle
