Beautiful farm style accommodation
The property had a lovely farm feel with animals and land to wander around. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the cottage was roomy and fitted with everything you would need. Highly recommend staying here!
Our rural cottage is conveniently located 9km from Myrtleford and 22km from the popular tourist region of Bright. This allows visitors to explore much that this north east region has to offer, with the King Valley, Beechworth and Rutherglen also an easy day trip away. At the end of your day come back to the farm and relax in your rural surrounds.
The area is well known for its high quality food and wine, predominately of Italian influences. Surrounded by national parks there are mountainous to explore, and fresh mountain streams and rivers to cool off in. Mount Buffalo National Park a 45 minute drive away, there are plenty of walks on offer for all abilities. Trail running is also gaining huge popularity with all of the walks and trails now on offer.
The area has become a huge cycling mecca in Australia so expect to see plenty of cyclists using the road, with more leisurely and family rides on the Mountains to Murray Rail Trail which runs from Wangaratta to Bright, and beyond. Bright, Beechworth, Yackandandah and Falls Creek all offer exceptional mountain biking opportunities.
The fresh streams and lakes offer plenty of opportunity for fishing with trout, cod and red fin being the main prizes!
