Overview

About the property

This distinctive home was conceptualized by Studio Takt Architects and has fused modern practicality and comfort with elements of Zen design and architecture.

Set far back from the street this beautifully realized two-bedroom residence offers an aesthetic oasis just four blocks back from Coogee Beach and Gordon’s Bay.

Architecturally designed this house is nestled at the rear of a long block of land offering privacy and views across to Randwick. The property has its own front and back landscaped garden that is maintained monthly by professional gardeners.

Living spaces are generous and combine with a designer kitchen to ensure that usage is both pleasurable and practical

No expense has been spared to create a copper clad home of distinction with the copper work also integrated internally in the bathroom and living areas.

Fully ducted air-conditioning means that each room can be climate controlled.

The bathroom has an integrated laundry with washing machine, dryer and laundry tub.

Beach, shops, supermarkets, public transport are all an easy walk from the property.

Furniture is custom designed and made to suit the property by Craft Design Realisation.

A port a cot and hi-chair are permanently available at the premises at no extra cost.

This is the perfect base for a beach side holiday with easy access to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, beach, coastal walks and public transport.

There is a lovely big high definition TV and DVD player to ensure that you can have the big movie or sport fixes that you need in crystal clear vision.

WIFI and all utilities included in tariff

Awesome spot and outstanding accommodation

Loved our stay here. Awesome location close to everything yet far enough away for privacy. The house is amazing and already planning our next stay.

Excellent property in super location!

  • 4 of 5

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay! Short stroll to cafes, restaurants and beach (albeit hilly as the owners state). Clean and quiet with some lovely quirks like the outdoor shower. Would recommend.

Fabulous property

  • 4 of 5

What a beautiful place! The cottage was filled with light and felt very comfortable and cozy. The modern decor and building design fit the site perfectly. The furniture was comfortable and practical. The beds were comfortable and the heating in each room was great. I loved the view of the city skyline over the kitchen, and the deep window sills. The stairs to access the place were a bit tricky the first night in the dark, but not impossible, and care needed to be taken in the cottage with the narrow stairs to access the rooms. Not a place to bring elderly parents or active toddlers! Also a microwave and some wine glasses would have been nice. Loved the location. There were several excellent cafes close by. The parking was easy and the cottage was easy to get to.

Outstanding property

  • 5 of 5

As a UK holiday maker and my first vist to Sydney - I found this property is well appointed, well maintained making our stay a very memorable experience.

The property design is gorgeous and understand why it won design awards. The house is on 3 split levels and well equipped with every modern appliance one would need along with a very efficient aircon throughout the house - which is important when visting during the warmer months.

The bedrooms are large with vast amount or cupboard space and very comfortable double beds, the bathroom is effectively a wet room with a large shower area and basin, mirror ect. The open plan Kitchen/ Living area is large with lots of seating and a dining room table

The Living area is equipped with a television, DC/DVD player and Wifi throughout the house. This is important if your are an overseas visitor and wish to keep mobile phone roaming charges to a minimum.

The Living area opens out onto a small but very quaint and well look after garden area accessed via sliding doors. At night the garden is lit up, great for dining outdoors on warm evenings.

The property is literally 10 minutes walk to Coogee Town Centre, Bus Terminals, Banks and most importantly the beach and rock pools.

If you wish to explore Sydney Central Business District, The Rocks and Circular Quays area to access Ferries to Tarronga Zoo, Manly Islands ect - it is a very simple 20 minute bus ride. As a UK visitor we made use of the Opal Card (similar concept to the Oyster Card in the UK) which can be purchased from the local shop to be used for Bus and Ferry travel which turned out to be excellent value for money

The property owner was a fantastic host, meeting us on our arrival, stayed engaged with us as a family when needed and often on hand to help and advise us on topics such as the local area, best ways of travel etc.

I do need to point out that the property is on hill, this is in no way a negative on the property itself - but if you are in anyway disabled please take this into consideration and discuss with the property owner before booking.

We did a lot of research before booking this property and found nothing in the area that came even close to meeting our requirements.

Overall as a family we loved this property - if you can secure it for your stay - my advice is grab it - you will not be disappointed.

We loved our stay at the Coogee Beach Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We travelled from Canada and stayed for 8 nights in November for our son's graduation from UNSW. Jeremy was a wonderful host. We had everything we needed and loved the privacy. Great location near the beach...lots of lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. Easy bus ride to city. We would definitely stay here again!
