We have been vacationing here for the past 20 years and finally purchased a place for a little R&R. We love the fine white sugar sand beach as well as all the culture this area has to offer. We hope you enjoy Siesta Key as much as we do and you too continue to come back year after year.
It's a short walk to the best beach in the world. A short drive to some of the finest restaurants and shopping. What more could you ask for!
My wife and I enjoyed our 5 days at Twin Palms. The one serious issue I would look at is the a/c. Even with the thermostat set no lower than 72 degrees as instructed the coil still froze up. Perhaps an a/c tech.needs to check refrigerant level. Other than that there were no other issues. We truly were pleased with our choice.
So close to such a beautiful beach. Restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable accommodations. Would have no problem staying here again and again. Did not personally use the pool, but my granddaughter enjoyed it (all to herself). Property clean/well maintained.
We enjoyed our stay here as a family with 2 young kids. The property could use some updating but overall it was cute and a good size for us. We did have an issue with the A/C unit on the first night but the owner handled it promptly and was very communicative in getting someone out to fix it ASAP. We did not get a chance to use the pool but all of the amenities for the beach were great! The beach cart was very convenient and our kids loved playing with all of the toys. Thanks for a great getaway!
My fiancé and I had to cancel our plans to visit Savannah due to Hurricane Matthew. As a last-minute Plan B we found this adorable cottage in Siesta Key instead. From the get-go Ron was very accommodating and willing to work with us on our crazy time line.
When we arrived we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The cottage was neatly appointed, and very cozy. It was just a short walk down the road to the beautiful beach and we did make use of the beach chairs and cart on site.
The pool was clean and comfortable and we felt like we had the place to ourselves the entire time.
It was a short walk up the road to Captain Curt's (which really does, as it boasts, have the *best* clam chowder!) and a few other bars/restaurants.
Our trip was incredibly relaxing and check-in and check-out were completely no muss-no fuss. We'd definitely come back again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Siesta Key.
We spent 3 nights at twin palms. The location is fantastic, so close to the beach and the town is a short cab ride away with "johnnys free ride" the villa was big enough and well equipped. If I was being really fussy, the decor is tired and could do with a lick of paint in places and a tidy up outside. Also the fan in the bedroom makes clicking/creaking noises which kept me awake, if you are s light sleeper then take ear plugs. We had a great time as siesta key is simply wonderful. Thank you
The room was clean and decently furnished. There were two baths but we didn't use the one off the living room because there were several small lizards running about. Also found a dead palmetto bug about an inch long on the bedroom floor, and I saw something run under the fridge that was a lizard or bug. I understand it's Florida so I wasn't to bothered by this. There was no dishwasher which also wasn't a big deal. What the main complaint I have is the air conditioning. It didn't work. I followed the instruction to the letter. It got very hot at night and sleeping was a bit uncomfortable.
I stayed in unit one and parking was on the front lawn. It rained a lot and the street in front was flooded and there was quite a drop with no curb. I have a jeep Cherokee and still scraped bottom a few times. Also the mud mess we caused by driving on the wet grass created a problem. My wife called the owner about that and he told here to park anywhere. So we moved our car in back. A tall woman who didn't identify herself came to the door and told me I had to move it back to the lawn because that was were #1 was assigned. I tried to explain my concern about tearing up the lawn but she wasn't having any of it. So I figured it was pointless to argue the point.
The pool was very nice. But it is a bit of a walk to the beach We love Siesta Key and spend a good part of the winter there. Don't think I will return to Twin Palms anytime soon.
