About Tracey Cunningham
Owned and operated by Mark & Tracey Cunningham. Mark is originally from Sheringha SA and Tracey was born in New Zealand but spent the majority of her schooling years in Maitland NSW. They moved to Gladstone in 2003 from Roxby Downs with 3 of 4 of Marks sons and had a son together in 2004. Mark works as a miner at Olympic Dam and Tracey works for Australia Post at Crystal Brook and Gladstone.
Tracey Cunningham purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Tracey Cunningham chose Gladstone SA
The local caravan park at the time only contained one cabin and a few onsite vans and other than the local hotel there was not a lot of accommodation available. They thought they would take a chance at being the first B&B (self contained accommodation) in Gladstone and to this day, even with the increase in cabins available in the area, they have not looked back. "We are grateful to our wonderful repeat customers for their continued support."
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage was built around 1880. It has an old world charm whilst making people feel relaxed in its presence. "It is not a place that you feel you may break something."

I travel for work & cart my husband dogs around with me. As a result we stay in many many places and this one is going into my top 10 preferred places to stay. Trace was great, really friendly & helpful. The cottage is inviting, welcoming & really comfortable. The dogs loved the secure yard, lots of places to explore & secure enough that we could go out & explore knowing they were safe back at the cottage. Thanks Trace - as Arnie says 'we'll be back'!
Everything you could possibly want!
Loved every minute of our stay at Conyngham Cottage. Walking in to the air conditioner already on and radio playing was a welcome reprieve on such a hot summers day. The locally produced soft drink and chocolate in the fridge was a lovely surprise. We loved finding the cubby and swing set out the back and the kids spent hours out there playing. The house is beautifully decorated and the comfortable beds and couches made it somewhere we are definitely looking forward to stay again!
We loved our stay at the Conygham Cottage. It is such a cute cottage and has all the things needed for a comfortable stay. I just adored the four claw bath and used it almost everyday we were there. It was close to different walking tracks and it was wonderful to walk all day and come back to the Cottage that was warm and cozy. The owners were also kind enough to leave us a block of chocolate :D. Overall, loved the stay.
Our stay at the cottage was great. It was perfect for my old mini schnauzer. Could not fault the property. Highly recommended. Also had the opportunity to meet our delightful hostess.
All the little things
What a beautifully presented cottage. It was very comfortable with plenty of heating/cooling and ample cooking utensils. There were plenty of toys, books, magazines etc to keep everyone occupied. We stayed for a week and wanted for nothing
Absolutely loved it, beautiful home, perfect to take the dog and child. Comfortable, quiet, most relaxing weekend I have had in a long time. Couldn't have had a nicer stay.
Gladstone is a small friendly country town. It is an easy walk around the town to see beautiful old houses. The towns local attraction is the Gladstone Gaol and we have an excellent local information centre "the Southern Flinders Discovery Centre" located in the main street, where helpful volunteers can point you in the right direction for places to visit.
Gladstone is well positioned to other small towns in the Southern Flinders.
