good fishing trip house
Clean and tidy. Everything you would need for a good stay at an affordable price. Nice big TV. Walking distance to the Shop, Tavern, Jetty and Boat Ramp. Wording does need to be 2 queens and 2 bunks though not 2 queen beds and 4 singles as stated. This did cause a bit of a problem. Also probably best for 4 people but all in all, very good. Would definatley stay there again.
Pet friendly property which greatly assisted us. The property was clean and tidy and good for our short stay of three nights. The majority of the time we spent at the Moonta Water Park which was awesome for our three young girls and snorkeling in the fenced area although damaged was very shallow at low tided. We also visited Wallaroo which has recently built an outdoor swimming pool area - looks greats. I would strongly recommend the Port Hughes Tavern for a feed- walking distance from the property. Good serves and reasonably priced. The property had plenty of room to store a boat out the front and good rear yard (no prickles sighted) for the dog. The property was what I expected for the price I paid. Short walk to the jetty, beach, tavern which was handy. It was a tight squeeze with two adults and three kids but fine for a short stay.
Thanks Paul for your excellent feedback. Sounds like you found plenty to do. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay
Nice little place
We enjoyed our stay and our two dogs had a great time in the fully enclosed backyard.
Neat, tidy and practical for children
My two year old daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at this holiday home. It was great having the enclosed back yard with the swings, sandpit and grass area. My daughter loved playing outside and i could relax knowing she couldn't go anywhere. My daughter found a variety of toys in the cupboard and the stamps kept her entertained for hours. The place was comfortable and practical. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to friends and family. Thank you.
Neat and tidy
Had a great stay. Neat and tidy accommodation and the dog just loves it (home away from home).Easy walk to the beach or the jetty. Nice and relaxing.
Stove and cooktop didn't work and the replacement arrived during dinner preparation on our last night (day 3 of our stay). It was second hand ... and as it turned out, it didn't work effectively either. DVD player didn't work at all; TV remote needed new batteries (you're welcome). Washing machine isn't plumbed, so it can only be used as a spin dryer. Dining chairs are falling apart. Lino in the living area is ripped and grimy and, well, ghastly. Dining table only seats 6 and the lounge only seats 3-4, yet the house is advertised to sleep up to 8. Fly screen on back door has holes so large it would fit a snake through, so it was a piece of cake for flies and mozzies. Back door deadlock was so badly fitted you needed to slam the door in a particular way to close it. Three corner jacks in the back yard made it impossible for my kids to play out there until I had weeded (again, you're welcome). The "bathroom" is something to behold. Beyond words, actually. And I left the place much cleaner than I found it. For all that, I paid more for this than I did for the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, immaculate pet-friendly house at Goolwa we stayed at in the days leading up to this - and we had an extra person at Goolwa! Hands down the worst place I have ever paid money for. This is not rental-standard accommodation. This is the sort of dilapidated shack that a friend of a friend lets you stay at if you leave behind a six pack of beer.
Funny how everyone else had a great time and said it was neat and tidy. Your expectations of a property in this price range are way too high!!!!!!!!!! Your comments are unwarranted and perhaps it would have been a nice idea to talk to us directly instead of airing it here. Congratulations - hope u feel better
