Apartment completely renovated in 2012, on the floor of the old sardine fishing port, in the village of La Cotinière, in a pedestrian shopping impasse, just steps from the fishing port, market, shops, restaurants, bike trails and the most beautiful beaches of the Island of Oléron.

Ideally suited for a couple and two children, T3 is very comfortable, spacious (75m2 + terrace of 34m2) and bright (large windows). Its interior is original and warm, his tendency decoration and new equipment: intercom, VMC, double glazing, electric shutters, electric heating inertia, Velux self-closing and rain sensor, fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge integrated freezer, electric oven, hob, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes and new utensils ...), bathroom with Italian, 2 sinks, separate toilet, washing machine quiet, flat screen TV TNT 124 cm, fans, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, marital comfortable bed (160x200) with mattress shape memory, 2 beds 90cm children. Lovely apartment, very highly recommended

The apartment is lovely, clean, well lit and equipped to a high standard. Highly recommended.

It is big enough for a family but very spacious for two. The balcony is much larger than it appears in the photos, lots of room to eat or sunbathe.

In fact the photos really don't do justice to the apartment at all.

A few steps outside the door and you are in the heart of the port with a good beach just a couple of hundred metres away. There are plenty of restaurants worth visiting and food shops within an easy walk.

There is a small supermarket in the village and a daily market. Hypermarkets are within a short drive.

No real negatives as long as you realise that this is a working fishing port and you are only a short way from the boats. If you leave the windows open at night you might get some noise from the boats - they depend on the tides you know.

If, like us, you like proper British-size mugs for your drinks, bring your own. Each year we forget and take home two more mugs as souvenirs. They're cheap anyway.

There is no parking with the apartment but there is a public car park just across the road. We left the car there for two weeks with no problem. €5 per day for parking.

If you've never been to Oleron before, do give it a try, it's a mixture of pretty towns and villages, sandy beaches and some wild coastline. We've been coming here for years and still haven't had enough. La Rochelle can be reached by ferry and is a great day out.

Beantwoordend aan onze verwachtingen

We kwamen aan op Pinksteren in een drukte van jewelste . Op de overvolle parking zorgde mevrouw Romain ervoor dat we een parkingplaats hadden vlak bij het huis .Meteen vergezelde zij ons naar de loft en gaf de nodige toelichtingen .Vooraf hadden we ook al heel wat praktische informatie gekregen. De loft is zeer goed gelegen in een verkeersvrij straatje dat op topdagen overdag zeer druk is maar 's avonds erg kalm wordt. Ook La Cotiniere is zeer goed gelegen om het eiland te verkennen.

De loft zelf is vrij ruim , goed uitgerust en heel net . Op de vraag naar bijkomende hoofdkussens werd vlot ingegaan. Het brede bed in de 'master bedroom' beschikt over een zeer goede matras. In de keuken is alle keukengerei aanwezig hoewel het gemakkelijker en efficiënter zou zijn mochten er meer borden en kopjes zijn .

Men doet er goed aan wat extra kussens mee te brengen want de twee divans zijn erg hoekig en niet zo comfortabel om lange tijd in te zitten . Mevrouw Romain zou op onze suggestie ingaan.

Kortom een aanrader voor een bezoek aan het eiland

Nette Wohnung, aber...

Die Wohnung entspricht sehr genau der Beschreibung des Vermieters. Wichtig und somit leider enttäuschend für das Gesamtpaket waren einzelne, für uns wichtige Facetten: Der Balkon bzw. die Terrasse ist praktisch nicht nutzbar, da der Sichtschutz erdrückend hoch ist. Viel schlimmer ist jedoch, dass die benachbarte Kneipe die Entlüftung ihrer Fritteuse direkt nebenan hat, was zu einer deutlichen Geruchsbelästigung täglich ab 17 Uhr führt. Darüber hinaus verfügt die Wohnung über keinen eigenen Stellplatz. Man muss sein Auto also auf dem nahe gelegenen, gebührenpflichtigen Großparkplatz abstellen, was dazu führt, dass man a) permanent darauf achten muss kein Knöllchen zu bekommen und b) den Gegebenheiten eines französischen Großparkplatzes ausgeliefert ist (3! Einparkbeulen in 14 Tagen). Uns haben noch andere Kleinigkeiten genervt, so dass wir sagen: Schöne Wohnung, aber für einen entspannten Urlaub passt es nicht.

About the smell of frying, know that since your departure, we have made insulation work in partnership with the restorer to cause the problem in order to solve it definitely. About the parking, I don't understand your disappointment because information is clearly given in the description of our announcement. The main car park is not free from June 15 to September 15, but you can park your car on other sites if you wish. Superbe!

Nous sommes partis en famille du Finistère et tout le monde a a-do-ré cet appartement très bien pensé et magnifiquement équipé pour un confort ++.

De l'accueil très sympathique à la genialissime literie à mémoire de forme en passant par le barbecue grill et la machine à laver super pratique, nous n'avons rien à redire, tout est au-delà du descriptif.

L'emplacement dans une impasse commerçante est super, tout peut se faire à pieds pour les courses, resto, poissonnerie et plage. Le port de la Cotinière est super!

Nous y retournerons séjourner sans aucun doute!

Séjour très agréable dans un très bel appartement.

L'Ile d'Oléron offre à cette époque de l'année un calme que nous avons apprécié, pour de grandes balades en bord de mer et la consommation de produits de la mer... Ce loft est effectivement superbe, avec un vaste volume et un aménagement des plus soignés. Tout y était parfait, et l'espace a largement été utilisé lorsque la pluie nous a contraints à nous réfugier à l'intérieur. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil, nous conservons précieusement l'adresse. Nous reviendrons à une autre période de l'année pour profiter pleinement de la terrasse...
