About the property

A fully restored weatherboard house in Bright's famous Delany Avenue. Bespoke is so close to town you can park the car and walk or ride everywhere. Only 270mts to Bright's Centenary Park.

It has all the modern facilities you could think of yet has been restored and styled respecting the era of the home. A touch of Retro Glamour!

Bespoke is the perfect place for 1 or 2 couples, a small group or family with children over 10yrs.

The house is on quite a large piece of land with beautiful front and rear gardens as well as a separate fenced dog friendly yard.

The interior spaces are all well thought out to attract light and create space, and styling through colour choices, original artwork, wallpaper, furniture and accessories bring it all to life.

Bespoke Holiday House has been a real labour of love for its owners Nina & John, showing great respect for the property in its restoration. Originally built in 1941 extended in 1958 and again in the 90's and its restoration in 2013.

The house is filled with vintage restored furniture and original artworks.

Bespoke is much more than a place to lay your head, it's an experience!

LAYOUT, BEDROOMS & FACILITIES

The house caters for 2 to 6 people in 3 Bedrooms.

Perfect for 1 or 2 couples, a family or a small group.

(Children must be over 10 years)

- Main Bedroom with queen size bed, ensuite and electric fireplace.

- Second Bedroom with queen size bed.

- Third Bedroom with two single beds.

(Please note: These are not suitable to push together and we ask that you don't do so.)

All bedrooms and lounge have flat screen TV's with DVD players

All towels and fresh white linen are provided.

Reverse cycle heating/cooling plus wood fire in living area

Ceiling fans in all bedrooms.

Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge.

Fully equipped kitchen including coffee pod machine.

Main bathroom with cast iron sink and bath.

Full laundry including washer and dryer.

Rear deck with outdoor lounge, outdoor dining and small electric BBQ

Front verandah with outdoor seating.

Storage shed suitable for bicycles and motorbikes or a very small car.

LOCATION

The Holiday House is in the perfect location, close to the centre of town in the picturesque Delany Avenue.

Centenary Park and the main street of Bright is just down the corner.

A very short stroll takes you right into the centre of Bright township.

You only need to walk out the front door to get the most beautiful Autumn colour photos.

Sit on the front verandah in the evening with a wine and watch the sun go down.

The rear yard has beautiful views of the hills and Mt Porepunkah.

Sit on the back verandah and soak up that morning sun and take in the view.

Certain times of the year you can clearly see paragliders and hangliders in the skies.

There are fantastic walks, hikes, mountain biking, road riding, rail trail, cafes and restaurants, wineries and so many outdoor activities close by.

DOG FRIENDLY

Bespoke Holiday House is one of Bright's top locations to visit with your furry little friends.

There is a huge dog friendly space built with high fencing.

The owners are dog lovers and hope their guests feel relaxed and enjoy their holidays with their pets.

You are close to parks and walking tracks which they will love and most cafe's and restaurants with outdoor dining in Bright are happy to have your furry friends there with you.

Dogs are welcome in the house as long as they are kept off the furniture and are never left unattended in the house.

BIKE FRIENDLY

The Rail trail now runs just out front of the house on the Great Alpine Road with trails to Germantown, Wandiligong, Porepunkah and beyond.

The house has 4 vintage style bikes available for guests to use. Bring along floral dresses & tweed jackets to complete the retro experience and plan a picnic on your ride along the Rail Trail.

Being centrally located it is perfect for both road riding & mountain biking experts and enthusiasts. There is a secure shed onsite to lock up your bikes when out and about.

2 nights on weekends and weekdays.

4 nights over Christmas /New Year period and Easter.

3 nights over public holiday long weekends.

Check in time is from 4:00pm

Check out time is before 11:00am

We hope you will sleep well at Bespoke so we have a late checkout of 11am as standard.

Bespoke Holiday House is non-smoking. We ask that you do not smoke in or at the property.

A bond of $300 is required just prior to arrival. A valid credit card will be needed to process this.

Bespoke Holiday House is not suitable for toddlers or children under 10*

The house is a unique property and has had a major restoration. It has been designed to create a glamorous and relaxing atmosphere and is ideally suited to Adults or Families with teenage children.

PAYMENTS

Within 3 months: Full payment is required at time of booking?

Over 3 months: A 50% deposit is due at time of booking with remainder due 30 days prior to your stay.?

Best equipped property, great location

We loved our stay at Bespoke. Apart from the fact that the house is lovely, it is also the best equipped house we have stayed in. We spent Xmas here and they had all the pots, pans and utensils needed to cook Xmas dinner....even a large enough saucepan for the Xmas pudding! This house is fantastic for dogs as it is fully fenced but also has a separate fenced off area if you decide you want to have some time away from your pooches. The goody bag we were given that included treats for us and a treat for the dogs was a lovely idea. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linens lovely and the Mor bath products a nice surprise. Highly recommend Bespoke Holiday House and its very friendly and helpful owners John and Nina.

Clean,comfortable and well positioned property

We enjoyed a week's stay here with our dogs.

The house is clean and well equipped,the beds were comfortable and the back deck was great for sitting outside.

The garden is perfect for dog owners and the location is close to town and the river and to a range of lovely walks.

I feel sure we will be back.

A Great Choice

We stayed at Bespoke House for 2 nights in August and were really happy that we had chosen to stay there. The house is very welcoming and is so cosy and warm...and spotless! The location was excellent...just a short walk to the restaurants and shops. .

The owners had thought of everything. One of the best properties in terms of facilities. Loved that they'd even thought of providing GladWrap and an abundance of kitchen utensils to make the place like home. Warm and cozy and with beautiful ambience, this was everything we needed for a lovely weekend in beautiful Bright.

John & Nina Carter. We are the proud owners of Bespoke Holiday House in Bright. We love restoring and collecting old items. Bright is the perfect place for us as we love bushwalking and mountain biking and spending time with our dogs.

Nina Carter purchased this house in 2012

Why Nina Carter chose Bright

This property was very run down and was passed by for quite some time. We saw the potential and decided it needed saving. After 8 months of hard work we brought it back to life. Not just renovating this property we restored it. Saving as much of the original features as possible and introducing any new items either from the era or respecting the era and the original owners of the house.

What makes this house unique

This property is really unique in Bright. The house was originally built in 1941 by the town mayor. Many properties in this area have been subdivided in to smaller lots but this house is on quite a large piece of land considering its close proximity to town. Many of the houses of this age have not survived, either being torn down or renovated in a modern way but we decided it was important to save one of the towns old properties. We also decided to provide a unique experience. The house is full of not only its original features but also vintage restored furniture, decorator items and new pieces that where designed and popular at that time.
