About the property

The original front part of the classic beach house includes: two bedrooms, lounge room, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The two bedrooms are delightful with large corner windows allowing light and breezes to flow through.

The lounge has a gas fire, large windows overlooking the gardens, TV and stereo. There is an open dining area with a large table seating eight people. The kitchen has a dishwasher, full fridge freezer and microwave. The bathroom has a shower and separate toilet.

The extension has: two bedrooms (including an extremely large master bedroom with wall mounted TV/DVD and air conditioner), a walk in robe, a very light and spacious bathroom with bath & shower and a large laundry (with washing machine and dryer). All rooms in the extension open out through sliding doors onto a large west facing deck for glorious sunshine.

The deck has a gourmet gas BBQ, a large outdoor table that seats 10 people under a large market umbrella.

This property is fully fenced and pet friendly.

It takes 8 minutes to walk to the dog friendly bay beach at Cameron's Bight and it takes 12 minutes to walk to the Koonya Ocean Beach, where there are beautiful rock pools to explore at low tide.

There are six beds in total, comprising:

Bedroom 1 - King size bed

Bedroom 2 - King size bed

Bedroom 3 - 2 King single beds

Bedroom 4 - 1 extra large king single bed and 1 single bed

Doonas and doona covers are provided. BYO towels and top and bottom sheets and pillow cases.

Alternatively bed linen and towels can be provided for $30 per person per stay, to cover the cost of supply, set up and laundering.

Things to Do . . . .

Sorrento/Blairgowrie is on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula a 1 hour and 15mins drive south east from the Melbourne CBD.

Once at the house it is only a few minutes drive to the historic township of Sorrento where there is an abundance of cafes, pubs, day spas and shopping options. Portsea Village is a further 5 minute drive along the coast. Lunch on the hill at the Portsea Hotel is a must!

The area is surrounded by magnificent beaches, ranging from calm shallow and clear waters in the bay (for swimming, kayaking and sailing) to exquisite turquoise rockpools (perfect for snorkeling) along the ocean beaches to some of the best surf beaches in Victoria, at Portsea and Gunnamatta. Diving and fishing are popular seaside activities in the area with a number of diving and fishing charters available.

If you enjoy golf then there are numerous championship courses for your enjoyment in the area. Tennis courts are available to hire.

A visit to the Red Hill wine region will take 15-20 minutes by car. Here you can visit a myriad of wineries and taste world famous pinot noir and chardonnay wines. There are also magnificent restaurants and al fresco dining options in and around Red Hill. A number of spa resorts are located in the area. Saturday Farmer's Markets are also a feature of Red Hill and the Peninsula.

From Sorrento you can take a ferry (on foot or with a car) across the bay (30 minutes) to explore the charming seaside town of Queenscliff. This also provides access to the south west coast of Victoria, including the Great Ocean Road.
