Dear Vittoria & Norris

Every year we celebrate Easter at a different locale. This year was particularly special - we thank you!

'Desiderata' is enchanting, with its unique energy and warmth - qualities which are an extension of the owners.

Loved everything - a special thank you to Carol for her kindness and help when we needed it and friendly nature.

We will return again & refer Desiderata only to those deserving & worthy.

Kind regards

Phillipa, Kevin and Maureen

All we can say is WOW! What an amazing home you have in the most exquisite location. Our weekend away was perfect with all creative comforts at hand.

Could not think of a better location and place to stay for our wedding anniversary.

Thank you

Marc & Melissa

Hi Vittoria

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was our (dream) home away from home, set in breathtaking surroundings. I can't describe how impressed we were with the furnishings, amenities and ambience in your home. You have put so much love and thought into every possible detail.

Our daughter (3 yo) isn't happy about being home tonight. She loved your home so much she did not want to leave. It could have been the 'new kitchen' or 'egg chairs' or 'fluffy blanket' she described, but I think it was the warmth, character and positive energy you have imparted.

We are very lucky to have spent a weekend at Desiderata.

Thank you again

Sofia & family

Dear Vittoria

We would like to say that Desiderata made each one of us feel home. We found this beautiful house full of love and that's how we want to leave - also leaving our love in the house. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Everything was perfect.

A very happy New Year filled with health, peace and prosperity.

Families Pereira Blanco, Crosara and Wahab

Dear Vittoria

Thank you, Elisa and Lindsey

Thank you Vittoria for the privilege of staying in your beautiful home. It exceeded all of our expectations and just what we needed - some peace and tranquillity and a break from our city lives. We will definitely be back, if you'd have us!

Love the Desiderata embrace so much we will beback

  • 5 of 5

Luxurious, thoughtful, intentional, inclusive, embracing to the superlative ... Desiderata captures 360 breathtaking views of the Kangaroo Valley.. this isn't a property that one visits once, but want to keep returning to. Aptly named, it is a balm to the soul, one comes here to renew, refresh, replenish, regenerate. Our family absolutely fell in love with it. And we are coming back in Autumn... and perhaps Spring too. In December 2017, I had organised a pre-Christmas family huddle here to celebrate mum's 90th - so only the best will do. Desiderata delivered that. It draws you in and knits you together ... makes you content to just stay in, cook and eat together and talk about things that matter. Vittoria is a gracious most accomplished hostess extraordinaire, she makes it all come together seamlessly, she is such a delight to deal with, and preempts everything. Her state of the art kitchen has all the utensils one needs, serving cutlery and we found a pantry thoughtfully stocked. She thoughtfully makes possible the elixir of early morning and late night chats, her wonderful coffee machine. It is a huge drawcard for my nephew the family barista, makes amazing coffee because Vittoria has also provided her special aromatic coffee beans ! That was possibly the hardest working machine during our stay there… and we would love to find out what beans they are =)

An architectural/ interior design delight, the main living area and dining room gives every gathering and meal a sense of warmth and occasion - we love your wrap round balcony for quiet meditation at sunrise, sunset and in between, overlooking the huge backyard meadow. The BBQ "room" is great for breakfast and barbies comes replete with sink. The loft offers a private moment with a book, the TV/games room and thoughtfully stocked first class library - books of great current appeal - whichever room one is in, every which way one turns, the views are breathtaking from main living area to bed and bathrooms. We didn’t even get to touch the 400DVDs. And she entrusts this to her guests. Including one's beloved pet, which in our case was the Harvie the cavoodle. Harvie just loved the backyard, he couldn't believe his good fortune he got to come along - we put him on a long leash to explore/roam outdoors. Indoors we kept him monitored and tethered on his own bedding. He was just happy to be included. We never slept so well, Vittoria chooses the best beddings. Laundry is 5star. Thank you, Vittoria

Gorgeous family accommodation

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Desiderata is a beautiful experience. We stayed with our 9 month old who is crawling and pulling up, I was concerned about possible dangers in an unknown place and I was pleased to find it is very child friendly. There are even plenty of toys to play with. The kitchen, living area and outdoor areas are just perfect for adult time, we didn't turn on the TV once, rather just took in the view. All the bedrooms and bedding are luxurious. Recommend for families and couples.

Sensational

  • 5 of 5

Vittoria has created a special place with ease of access from Sydney into a world of class , peace and tranquility.

The photos and wonderful pictures still don't do Desiderata justice when you first enter the wonderful property.

With my two mates, going away for the last 25 years together to different places ... Desiderata is the first time we agreed we'd come back again and we'd also visit with our families.. very child friendly and ease of access to shops and services .. with age comes the experience of knowing what's great ... Desiderata will never disappoint.

Perfect holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We were so looking forward to staying at Desiderata given the beautiful photos and great reviews on Stayz. The property absolutely did not disappoint.

We came with our 8 month old baby, two small fur kids, two sets of in laws and my brother. Each of us was well catered for, with so much space that we never felt like we were living on top of each other.

It was our first trip away with bub and we were delighted to find that almost everything was provided - a travel cot, change table attachment, high chair, baby bath with support and bath chair, high chair, baby feeding utensils, amazing toys...!

The views from the property were the highlight for me. We saw unforgettable sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. The goats were also very friendly.

We had a delicious three course meal catered with Mingle Meals on our first night, to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was such a luxury to turn up to a home like Desiderata and have a chef come and cook for us on arrival! But we had no trouble cooking for ourselves for the rest of our stay in the well supplied kitchen.

The property is feels very remote, but is a 15 minute drive to Berry over Berry Mountain. It's a scenic drive but narrow in parts with sharp bends, so best attempted in daylight hours.

We would definitely return to Desiderata and have already recommended it to a number of our friends!
