A little more about Beachcombers Wooli...
If you are wanting a great location & clean, comfortable spot... try Beachcombers... the units are 1 house back from beach & 2 from river, it's easy walking distance to grab takeaway or eat in at the Kiosk, read daily papers & magazines sipping expresso coffee at the cafe (yes, a great coffee is available), a dinner at Harry's Chinese with the kids is a delight, maybe betting & Bingo at the Bowlo, fresh seafood at the co-op (if you don't catch your own) for a more romantic picnic escape, mail your postcards at the post office. Walk a little further (or take a bike) You'll find fresh meat from the local Butcher (if you don't win a meat tray that is) groceries or essentials you forgot to pack from the Mini Market & a Petrol station to fill up before you go explore the Yuraygir National Park... oh yes I should mention that scuba divers from around the world dive at the Solitary Islands Marine Park off the coast of Wooli too.
Now, a little more about this sweet sleepy seaside village...
Wooli is a small town, a fishing Village, it is for simple holidays, there is lot's to do and nothing to do at the same time, depending on the nature of your stay. Simple pleasures, like building a sand castle with the kids, spotting a kangaroo with joey on the oval, star gazing from the dunes on a clear night or fishing in one of the cleanest rivers in the world, the way holidays were, and still can be.
So yep, there's nothing to do, or plenty, that's why it's a great place for a little break!
- Photograph the inspirational flora, fauna & scenery
- Take paints & sketchbook and record the beautiful river mouth
- Skate the new skate bowl
- Beachcomb Wooli beach for shells, driftwood and other treasures
- Fish in one of the cleanest rivers in Australia
- Have a paddle & watch the crabs scamper along the tideline
- Grab a private picnic spot
- Visit Minnie Water & Diggers
- Play a game of tennis
- Devour prawns and fresh oysters shucked at the seafood co-op daily
- Go Barefoot Bowling at the Club for fun
- Grab a book and find a spot on the beach to relax & read.
- Treat yourself to Chinese at 'Harry's' in the Bowlo
- Hire a boat or go for a canoe
- Grab an awesome coffee, takeaway and a few essential groceries at the Co-Op too, on the riverside
- Take the little ones to the nearby park
- Walk or ride the cycle path through town
- Relax & enjoy doing NOTHING or lots, it's all up to you!
Yuraygir National Park nestles Wooli and at 38,000 hectares and 60kms of coastline it's an amazing home to local flora and fauna and has many cross country and coastal walks which can be downloaded from the internet.
We aren't the Versace, but...
PLEASE NOTE! THERE ARE 3 UNITS IN the Beachcombers Block SO EVEN IF CALENDAR SHOWS A CONFIRMED BOOKING ANOTHER UNIT COULD STILL BE AVAILABLE so feel free to send an enquiry noting your preferred dates in comments section (and if traveling with pet as Unit 2 although smaller is pet friendly) and I will email back ASAP if a suitable unit is still available :) If all 3 Units are booked at the same time for 1 week minimum I can offer a discount on our already low prices, this is an ideal option for an extended family holiday, friends reunion or special event where accommodation for 14 or more under one roof would be perfect (Photography/arts groups, combined family holidays etc).
IMPORTANT HOUSE-KEEPING...We request you please leave the Unit neat & tidy as it is on arrival, the mandatory cleaning fee covers professional linen launder and clean but excess costs for 'extra' cleaning if needed will passed on to guests responsible, ALSO, missing items will be invoiced at replacement costs, AND if re-cutting of keys is required because they have not been replaced in lock box ($150), these will be invoiced to the tenant responsible. Thank you for understanding.
ONE MORE THING
Beachcombers Units 1 & Pet Friendly Unit 2 Have Lowest Prices of $48 a night (based on 7 day booking 'Off Season' period) THAT'S WITH LINEN PROVIDED for a maximum of 4 guests.
That's $336 for the week, SO... if 4 people (aged 5 or over) stay, that is $12 per night per person for 1 weeks accommodation!!! ALSO it is in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom self contained unit (with a laundry) & fresh linen and bath-towels INCLUDED (NO HIRE FEES or EXTRA COSTS) yes, your own private facilities! To appreciate the value, Compare with family of 4 (5 years & over) renting a 'powered site' at caravan park for $282 a week OFF season! So next time you can't be bothered pitching your tent, or unrolling the sleeping bags for the family, or sharing public facilities, give Beachcombers a try, like I said, we aren't the Versace, but we truly are clean comfortable budget accommodation, around $2 a night per person more than a Wooli powered site (4 people, 7 days, off season). Remember, give yourself a treat... You can always camp next time ;)
