June Jordan purchased this condo in 2003
My first life was in San Francisco. My second life has been in Montana and never in a million years did I think I would enjoy my second life more than my first.
We had a wonderful stay at June's condo! Four adults and there was plenty of room. Clean, quiet, comfortable with all the kitchen utensils you could ever need. We especially enjoyed the bottle of wine and gift card for a nearby grocery. Don't be troubled by the outside of the building, which needs a face-lift, the condo is very clean and modern. We will gladly go again!!
This older condo complex north of town was too far away for us to walk downtown, but there is a bus stop literally across the street from the condo! And right now all Missoula buses are FREE! (Pilot program; not sure how long it will last.) I caught the 9:36 a.m. bus (buses come about every 30 min.) and was at the downtown Missoula transitcenter 10 minutes later. Way to go, Missoula!
The condo itself is clean and well-outfitted, though to us both units we tried smelled musty (came home with clothes smelling of something like stale cigarette smoke). Unit 2, where we stayed for 10 nights, has nice modern furniture and a comfortable king bed. We did not use the second bedroom, with a queen bed. Stand-alone A/C units in the living room and the master bedroom are very efficient, but a bit too noisy for sleeping. With the windows open, you will hear the traffic from the freeway up the hill a ways, but that sound lessens greatly during the night. The condo is about a mile from the Freeway 90 onramps--easy on/off.
There is a full-size washer and dryer in the condo (so handy!) as well as a hot water heater (plenty of hot water for showers). June is generous with supplies--you will find laundry, bath and kitchen soaps, cleaning supplies, Kleenex, TP and paper towels, basic cooking condiments and cooking oil, as well as thoughtful touches like night lights, hand lotion, some DVDs and puzzle/games. The kitchen pots and pans and utensils are older but serviceable. The refrigerator has ice trays. The freezer kept ice cream rock hard. No dishwasher.
There is a good gas BBQ and some comfy plastic lounge chairs. No private patio, and no grass. The neighbors (residents) are pleasant and keep to themselves, but friendly. The condos are quiet--we never heard the neighbors' voices or plumbing from either unit beside us. We did not use the TV or bikes, but the wifi was fast and reliable. There is a great market a couple miles away. The neighborhood is safe for a stroll.
The condo was cheaper than hotel rental, especially because we overlapped the Missoula Marathon that jacks up local hotel rates considerably.
June is very kind and surprised us with a gift certificate to a new local eatery! She always communicated with us promptly and efficiently and was very accommodating in trying to find us a unit that suited us.
Overall, this is a nicely decorated older condo in a working-class neighborhood, with free bus service to downtown and around Missoula.
Really cute place both inside and courtyard outside. Great place for dogs too. Besides the well decorated and funished condo, verything you would every think of needing for an extended stay was provided, barbecue, dishes, towels, washer & dryer, air conditioner, pots and pans. June was really nice , left us wine and gift certificate for a dinner out
This 2 Bedroom 1 and 1/2 bath unit worked out great for us. We were in need of transitional housing for a month while we waited for our new home to be completed. It is minutes away from downtown as well as the North Reserve area.
It was quiet and the neighbors were all very friendly.
Should the need arise we would not hesitate to stay there again.
Comfortable and feels like home. My 86 year old mother and I arrived from Iowa to have fresh flowers on our kitchen table accompanied with a note telling us of the soup to warm up the fresh bread and a bottle of wine.
The location is convenient yet private with a safe place to park our car. To be able to make a fresh pot of coffee and eat breakfast at a kitchen table in our pj's is so relaxing.
June has been so friendly and makes us feel at home with her hospitality. This place has been perfect for us. Thank you so much!
When we were “Griz” parents, we use to stay at the old T-bird on Broadway. So this Condo was quite the jump up and at a better price. It met all of our needs, which were comfortable, convenient, dog friendly, and clean. June Jordan (the owner) was fantastic. She was able to squeeze us in a minutes notice and greeted us with soup, broche-dies, & wine. During our stay, there was a snow blizzard which dumped 2' of snow. Our walkways, car ports and driveways were alway clear. We found skiing was about a 25-minute drive to Snowbowl and everything else Missoula had to offer was just minutes away. While in town, one website we found helpful missoulaevents. I’m sure if you elect to stay here, you’ll find your stay as enjoyable as we did. Have fun.
