About John Fetto
We are a small family with a 3 year old son. John is American, Simon is French Canadian and our son is a dual citizen. We travel often (though less than before the arrival of our son) and prefer staying in a home over hotels, which is why we're opening our home to travelers like ourselves. We are bi-lingual (English and French).
John Fetto purchased this Condo in 2002
Why John Fetto chose La Petite-Patrie
While this condo isn't in the heart of the action, we think it will appeal to many travelers who want easy access to the heart of the city, but prefer to retreat to a quieter zone at the end of the day. That said, you could spend an entire day just exploring things within walking distance of the condo, including the active Jean-Talon farmers market, Little Italy and numerous parks and recreation areas nearby. If you enjoy cooking, you'll have everything you need for a nice dinner at home, though you just as easily stroll to one of the growing number of restaurants nearby ranging from Vietnamese to Italian to tapas to trendy Indian street food. There are also plenty of gastro-pubs and other watering holes to grab a bite or just whet your whistle.

Wonderful place in a great neighborhood
Immaculate and well decorated apartment. Very child-friendly with lots of toys! This is a great place to stay in a vibrant (and not at all touristy) part of Montreal. The garden is beautiful
Excellent accommodation in La Petite-Patrie
This exceeded expectations created by the photos and description. It was well furnished and equipped, and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The lovely balcony overlooking the garden was wonderful for al-fresco dining. A lovely quiet area with a metro station and the wonderful Jean Talon market nearby, it was perfect. Handy for the airport if driving, there is on site parking, and the main highway is 5 minutes away. Add in the very good nearby microbrewery and bakers, and you have a great place for a vacation in Montreal.
What a great stay !!!
The place was very clean and very well arranged for my wife and I and 13 year old grandson. Rooms are spacey and the proprietor has it well stocked and furnished to be right at home, immediately. John took good care of all our needs. The back yard flower and fauna is great for an early morning coffee on the great back patio. Go there !!
The property is impeccable and ample for a family with two young kids. It’s beautifully decorated, clean and equipped with everything you might need. Our kids loved the kids bedroom, the beautiful back porch and garden. John and Simon are wonderful hosts, accommodating and accessible. There are many lovely bakeries and cafes within walking distance, as is the metro station. Would not look elsewhere for accommodations in Montreal!
Lovely base for a first trip to Montreal
We could not have been happier with this lovely apartment as our home base for three days of exploring Montreal. Very clean and comfortable and well appointed to make our stay relaxing and as comfortable as if we were in our own home. The apartment is in a very nice neighborhood, with plenty of paces to each and get pastries each morning; also very accessible to the Jean Tallon market and the subway to get around the city. We certainly look forward to another stay.
Beautiful and convenient home!
Beautiful, very comfortable home in Montreal's little Italy neighborhood! A pleasure to stay here, terrific property owners, and very convenient to downtown Montreal by subway just about three blocks away. There's a wonderful, large, open air market nearby, as well as lots of great playgrounds (if you are traveling with children). The condo is very nicely updated and tastefully decorated, a pleasure to visit! Highly recommend!
The neighborhood is a mix of residential and commerce with interesting bars, restaurants and shops located just a few minutes walk from the condo.
