We spent one night at the Tubbs Hill Guest House in Coeur D'Alene when we took our children to the Santa Cruise to the North Pole. It was six adults, three toddlers, and a baby. Each family was able to be comfortable in the large house. It was very well appointed, but almost too full of precious little details for a group with toddlers (they were very good and did not break anything, but we definitely had to be on them about it). The house is quite large, but it is definitely quirky. The lay out is a bit confusing, but it worked out fine for us. It is very practically located near downtown and the lake, and has driveway parking available for several cars, even though the driveway it definitely on the trickier side when it snows... Lisa was very accommodating. She agreed to us checking in early, and made sure the driveway was shoveled, and we had plenty of ice melt if needed, as well as fire wood for the fireplace. We would absolutely stay there again.
The home is roomy, clean, and warm. It is beautifully decorated and comes with all of the amenities to make for a perfect family getaway. Books, puzzles, games, tvs are throughout plus throw blankets are everywhere! We were surprised to find that the kitchen has everything one could possibly need for cooking too. The location is an added bonus. Hiking by the lake is within walking distance from the front door as is the downtown area. We were delighted with the extra care that this owner has taken to make this a perfect vacation for our family.
The owner Lisa was very kind and very helpful. The house was absolutely beautiful and well taken care of I would highly recommend it to anybody looking to stay into the area.
Location to the downtown area and hiking trails was great. The neighborhood was quiet and secluded. Lisa was there to meet us and gave a thorough overview of the house. We had nice sized rooms, bathrooms on all floors and plenty of room to spread out in the two living rooms and backyard patio. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining area was huge...plenty of room for a dinner party with extra guests. The home was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated...great place for our family gathering. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice place to stay for the Oktoberfest and the Coeur De Fondo bike ride. We rode right to the starting line. The owner was nice and very accommodating. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
The woman who rents the house is very accommodating and is definitely trying to make the best experience possible. The location of the house on the edge of Tubbs Hill and McEuen Park is fantastic. The size of the house is good, but we found the two bedrooms, and other spaces downstairs almost unusable. There were lots of dead bugs and living spiders down there, and the spaces are oddly laid out. That said the three bedrooms upstairs, and the living spaces on the main floor are fine. We really only needed three bedrooms so the house worked well for us. The kitchen is well equipped with many small appliances and other things that are handy in a kitchen. Most of the stuff in the house is rather old, and the house itself is getting to the point were it could really use a remodel. Though the living spaces layout is cool in a quirky sort way. Overall an Average experience, though if you really need those extra rooms you might not like this place.
Conveniently located on Tubbs Hill, minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene and adjacent to The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
