The woman who rents the house is very accommodating and is definitely trying to make the best experience possible. The location of the house on the edge of Tubbs Hill and McEuen Park is fantastic. The size of the house is good, but we found the two bedrooms, and other spaces downstairs almost unusable. There were lots of dead bugs and living spiders down there, and the spaces are oddly laid out. That said the three bedrooms upstairs, and the living spaces on the main floor are fine. We really only needed three bedrooms so the house worked well for us. The kitchen is well equipped with many small appliances and other things that are handy in a kitchen. Most of the stuff in the house is rather old, and the house itself is getting to the point were it could really use a remodel. Though the living spaces layout is cool in a quirky sort way. Overall an Average experience, though if you really need those extra rooms you might not like this place.
There were 4 of us ladies who came for a pickleball tournament. The location of the home was perfect. Close to everything that we wanted to go to. The home was more than adequate for our small group and definitely can handle many more people. Very well stocked with everything you many need. We had our dinners on the deck at night and our coffee in the morning and just so relaxing and enjoyable. Cannot say enough about Lisa. She met us when we arrived and was so helpful in any questions we had. Thank you Lisa for allowing us to share your beautiful home. Lynda
Great layout and amenities. Close to downtown and lake but not near noise or high traffic patterns. Clean, well-equipped, and great for family reunion. We hope to be back someday. Great hiking nearby, along with other outdoor activities.
We were a party of 4 so we certainly did not need the space this 5 bedroom home provided but we loved having it. This home is so well stocked with serving dishes that one could host a large (20-30 attendees) reception there. It was immaculately clean and had lots of areas where one could go off and read or watch TV. Its location was great as it is only a short walk down the Tubbs Hill trail from location 24 and you are in town. In addition, we were regularly entertained by a flock of wild turkeys who seemed to treat that area as their home base. We also had a deer stop by one afternoon.
You might want to bring house slippers as the owner has a sign on the front door saying "no shoes to be worn in the house" . While this house rule might upset some renters it did not bother us but it probably should be spelled out in the description.
What a great home for a family getaway - the location could not have been better with the natural beauty of Tubbs Hill trails right outside our door, and the amenities of the city only a few blocks away. You are greeted by lovely landscaping as you approach the front door. The interior of the house is even better than the photos - the decor is tasteful and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality gear for cooking and entertaining. The beds were very comfy, and the bathrooms were well equipped with towels and toiletries. There are multiple gathering areas, both inside and out for entertaining. We did not have a chance to try out either of the two fireplaces, but can imagine the lovely ambiance they would create. We would definitely recommend making this your go-to place for CDA.
We had a great time staying in this home, just relaxing and enjoying the local sights. The owner had everything we needed, and she was great to meet us when we arrived and explain all of the features of the home! Our only complaint was that we didn't stay LONGER!! We were only able to stay one night, and the home accommodated our family of eight very well! We will definitely rent this home again and stay longer the next time. Loved the location too. We had fun watching the wildlife.
Conveniently located on Tubbs Hill, minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene and adjacent to The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
