Go snorkelling around the boiler at nearby Boiler Beach or the protected waters of Nanarup Lagoon. Snorkel amongst the fish at Little Beach or look for the leafy, sea dragons hiding in the seaweed at the picturesque Waterfall Beach.

Set high on Mt Adelaide with the most magnificent vista of King George Sound, the Anzac Centre overlooks the departure point for the First & Second Convoys of WW1. In late 1914 over 41,000 Australians & New Zealanders (around 30,000 of them Australian) left Albany bound for Gallipoli & the Western Front.

About Rosalie T
Growing up on a wheat & sheep farming property which was settled in the early 1900's, I have always loved everything relating to that period. The furniture, the embroidery, the hairpin lace, the conserving & preserving & the slower pace of life. Hebe Cottage is furnished just like my grandmother's place on the farm with embroidery, crochet doyleys, patchwork cushions & quilts & is tucked away from the hurly burly of life, yet only 10 minutes away from the centre of Albany.
Rosalie T purchased this Cottage in 1982
Why Rosalie T chose Kalgan
Hebe Cottage is a short stroll away from Oyster Harbour & the boat ramp. The walks along the harbour are particularly beautiful in the mornings & evenings. Cyclists, joggers & kayakers are welcome & there is a locked shed for their security. The Two Rivers region is close to the King & Kalgan Rivers, beautiful secluded beaches & national parks yet it is only 5 minutes away from the nearest Woolworths at Bayonet Head.
What makes this Cottage unique
You will love the genuine, cast iron beds & furniture from the 1900's. The QB & DB came from the Victorian Goldfields. The single beds were found in Albany. The rest of the furniture was collected over about 5 years. Families are especially welcome & there is an extensive book & DVD library for the kids. Sit & watch the sun going down on the decked area in Summer & Autumn watching all the birds that come to visit the garden. You won't want to leave!

Home away from home!
Hebe Cottage (more a small family home actually) was a great base to explore Albany and all it has to offer. We spent 8 nights here and were always glad to return to it after a big day of touring and walking. Town and all the restaurants are only a 10 min drive away - bottle shop, fuel and supermarket is only 2 mins away. We were tired and late to arrive on the first night but our host suggested an Indian meal home delivered - arrived in an hour and was delicious! Rosalie was very generous with advice and suggestions and there was plenty of extras thrown in too - Fresh bread, eggs and milk all ready to go. Fireplace on a cold night or sunny deck in the afternoon overlooking the back valley. We highly recommend Llittle Beach in 2 people's nature reserve on a sunny morning - Devine!
We really enjoyed our second holiday staying in Hebe cottage. The house has everything you could possibly need & is a fantastic base to explore Albany & the south west of WA. Owners & hosts, Rosalie & Wayne, gave us great tips on what to see and do in the area. We will definitely be back!
The place has everything you need for a convenient and comfortable holiday. Cottage was super cosy and clean and kids didn't want to leave. Hope to come back soon. Thanks!
Thank you Ra for your lovely comments. Children love Hebe Cottage. They get the chance to stay in a place just like Grandma's but which has FREE WIFI. They can curl up beside the wood fire in their bean bags watching DVD's, reading the many children's books that are especially for them or play draughts & chess with Mum & Dad to while away the cold, winter nights! Families are always welcome to stay at Hebe & we hope to see you all again soon.

Hebe is Holiday Heaven
Hebe Cottage was a lovely surprise. Rosalie has thought of everything with the cottage being extremely well equiped. It is clean, tidy, comfortable and an extremely relaxing place to holiday. We loved sitting on the outside deck enjoying the breeze, bird life, garden and views. Our daughter also loved the fact it had children's DVDs, games and books. Thanks for a fabulous stay in Albanny Rosalie.
