A 10-minute Walk to the beach patrolled daily by Surf Life Saving and just 5-minute walk to the marina. Port Douglas on Macrossan Is located at the beginning of the shopping strip with many restaurants, cafes, shops and also is located across the road from the beautiful St Mary’s Church by the Sea.

We offer Self Contained Apartments not serviced apartments and supply clean Bed Linen and Towels with free onsite washing machine and clothes dryer for your use. However if you prefer the the optional Mid-stay clean there is an additional cost

About Phil Hopper

Phil and I both grew up in Melbourne and moved to the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria when we got married in 1989. We came to Port Douglas to celebrate a family members 70th birthday in 2008 - fell in love with the climate and the atmosphere so we packed up and moved to Far North Queensland ... and love it.

Phil Hopper purchased this apartment in 2009

Why Phil Hopper chose Port Douglas

'Port Douglas on Macrossan' is the name of our holiday apartments, the name came about because we offer great places for holiday makers to stay in the heart of Port Douglas. Our apartments are all located in the main street of Port Douglas, which is Macrossan Street. When we go on holiday we like to be in the heart of a place and not have to rely on a car, hence we thought others may have the same holiday concept as us.

Perfect location, accomodation and service

Fabulous apartment, wonderful location, close to 4 mile beach and the shops but without all the evening noise. Everything we needed in the apartment. Phil offers a level of service that puts others to shame. Excellent - keep up the good work, we will be back
