Modern, fully self contained 2 bedroom (1 queen, 2 single) house in Port Sorell. There are 2 good quality fold up beds to accommodate up to 6 people. This great holiday house has undercover parking and plenty of room for a boat, a modern fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The bathroom is very large and decor is modern, clean and very comfortable.
All linen is supplied, excellent quality sheets (1200 count), fluffy white towels, electric blankets, extra blankets. Hair dryer , body wash in large shower, soap & shampoo. Well equipped laundry with new washing machine, iron & ironing board all behind doors in the large white clean bathroom.
There is TV, DVD player, stereo with provision for ipod, lots of books for both adults and children and selection of DVD's, and CD's for your pleasure. Breakfast is supplied for 1 morning with croissants, cereal, juice , Nespresso Pod Coffee machine. Kitchen is very large with oven, microwave, pantry, family size refrigerator and breakfast counter with comfortable and modern stools.
Relax with a glass of wine on the deck, in a peaceful, gardened 5 acre rural setting overlooking Bass Strait, enjoy the view and listen to the birds. Have a BBQ on the Mini Q and watch the sun setting and enjoy the local wildlife at night including wallabies and potoroos. Alternatively drive to Hawley Beach and take a walk along the nature track and see the penguin's come in from the ocean and waddle home to their nests at sunset.
There is an abundant supply of books including childrens, DVD's, CD's and CD player
for your use on a relaxing holiday.
Close to shops, restaurants and cafes and The Shearwater Resort where you can play a round or 2 of golf. Go walking along the beaches, river or boat fishing, kayaking , photography, bike riding, or just fossiking and rock hopping at Freers and Hawley Beach.
Just 19 klm east of Devonport, Port Sorell is a 10 minute drive to Devonport Airport and the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal. It is central to the Northern Food & Wine Region including award winning Ghost Rock Winery which is 5 minutes drive away. Drive to Cradle Mountain and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.
Port Sorell is the Gateway to the Narawntapu National Park where you can walk amongst wombats, Forrester Kangaroos and Pademelons. A wonderful experience in flora and fauna, with trained Park Rangers always available to give information. .
A short drive to Latrobe which is one of Australia's finest heritage towns with many antique shops, cafes and speciality shops. Reliquiare is a shopping experience you can't miss. Latrobe is famous for being the Platypus capital of the world. A few minutes out of Latrobe is Anvers Chocolate Factory, a belgian style chocolate experience, cafe, museum and manufacturing viewing room, and then there is the Cherry Shed, a little further down the road, delicious.
Travel along the Bass Highway to Ashgroves Cheese and then further along Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm for a taste sensation. Continue along to Mole Creek to the wonderful Trowunna Wildlife Park & Devil Research Centre, where you can nurse and pet a baby Tasmanian Devil. This Park has the world's largest population of endangered Tasmanian Devils. A nature lovers wildlife park.
There are a number of day trips to experience including Cradle Mountain, Stanley and Marrawah which is famous for its surfing and windsurfing location.
