|Minimum Stay||4 nights|
Opening the shutters you are greeted by the early morning sun glistening on the shimmering lake, the snow capped mountains cascading into the water. The yellow and ochre houses across the lake reflect into the water. Breakfast can be taken on the balcony or the terrace overlooking the lake - which is also an excellent spot for sunbathing.
After breakfast, why not explore the peace and tranquility of Limonta? This tiny pretty village is empty of people - it's network of paths winding past the pretty houses.
Driving the short distance to Bellagio you can park in Loppia (a favourite with George Clooney) and stroll through the beautiful grounds of Villa Melzi beside the lake. In May, the abundant azaleas and rhododendrons are in full flower.
Arriving in the heart of Bellagio, you can stop for a coffee at one of the many cafes - our favourite is Bar Rossi. Sitting under the colonnades spend some time people watching before exploring the network of cobbled steps and drifting into the many beautiful shops. Bellagio really is 'the pearl of the lake' and feels as if time has stood still.
Stroll back to the lake and catch a ferry boat to one of the many nearby villages and gardens including Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo. The picturesque village of
Varenna is less than a 10 minute ride where you can stop for lunch. Eat at the lake side creperie or if you fancy a longer lunch try the Hotel Du Lac, (you can also have a lovely evening cocktail watching the sunset from their lakeside terrace).
From here you can then explore the gardens of the Villa Cypresi and the Villa Monastero before catching the boat back to Bellagio.
There are many excellent restaurants in Bellagio to choose from, or you can return to the apartment and take a 5 minute stroll down to Trattoria D’Anna. There is no menu - the waitress just explains what they have each day. This simple restaurant never fails to surprise with its ample portions and warm welcome. Alternatively, if you are tired after a long day exploring, the apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a great selection of films to watch - after the sun has set on the lake!
A beautiful apartment located in the small village of Limonta less than 5km from the picturesque town of Bellagio comprising of 1 double bedroom, a bathroom (with shower), a large sitting room with double aspect views of the lake, a double sofa bed and a well equipped kitchen. The apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake, plus a small dining terrace overlooking the gardens to the lake and we have just completed a stunning new sun terrace. Free WiFi included.
The local ferry to Bellagio and other towns on the lake is a short walk from the apartment. There is also an excellent local restaurant 'Trattoria D'Anna' which is about a 5 minute walk.
Located in the heart of Limonta a typical Italian village, the apartment is perfect for 2 people but can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. It also offers the option of alfresco dining on the balcony or lake view terrace. The property makes an ideal location for those who want to explore the many delights of Lake Como.
The nearby Bellagio Sporting Club is available for those wishing to take advantage of its swimming pool and tennis courts and restaurant.

The apartment is clean, contemporary and spacious with everything you could need.
We've tried to think of the things we like to find when travelling - from an iPhone charger to an iron, hair dryer, plug adaptor or torch. The apartment is a wonderful place to call home for a holiday!
We have our own private parking space, a balcony and 2 outside terraces. Inside the apartment we have free WiFi and a great selection of films to watch on the HD 40" TV if you want a night in!

Nice, complete and quiet apartment near the beautiful village Bellagio, great view on lake Como. Enough possibilities to make trips in the neighborhood.
My wife and I had looked forward for many years to our first trip to the Lake Como area. The expesience exceeded our expextations by far and one of the biggest reasons was staying in "La Pinin" -- the view from the balcony is fabulous!
Colleen and Terry
We arrived at La Pinin after dark and the moment we opened the door, we knew we had chosen well and that we had found the relaxed, comfortable holiday base we were hoping for. The apartment was very clean, comfortably furnished, spacious, very well equipped and just as described. When we opened the door to the balcony and saw the lights of the villages around Lake Como sparkling on the water we knew we would be spending much of the next 2 weeks sitting there soaking up the tranquility of the area. In daylight next morning the view up and down the lake was even more spectacular. The apartment is very secure and has it's own parking space.
The location was perfect for us, away from the bustle of Bellagio, yet within easy access of ferries, buses and trains. While public transport is good and cheap, a car is necessary to access supermarkets, restaurants and Bellagio itself. There is an excellent trattoria, D'Anna, within 5 minutes walk of the apartment where we ate on a number of occasions, but no other restaurants or shop in Limonta.
We had a fantastic 2 weeks exploring the local area by ferry, foot and car, and further afield by bus and train including trips to Bergamo, Lecco, Como city and Milan. Our hosts, Steve and Francine were very helpful throughout and responded quickly to any queries prior to and during our stay.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this property.
We've (two adults and a child) have just returned from a fantastic weeks stay at this gem of a property on Lake Como. The location is great with a fantastic view of the lake; however a car is a necessity to reach other areas of the lake to explore.
Facilities were fantastic, communication from Steve was fab (thanks for such a quick response to my text on our first day!) and all the information in the apartment was very well received!
On a more general Lake Como note, we'd recommend hiring a boat for a few hours as its a great way to see the lake! We also enjoyed a trip up the mountain by cable car at Barzio-Piani di Bobbio and went tubing at the top. We ate at a number of super restaurants, but Bella Vista near the apartment was excellent value and thoroughly enjoyable!
Thank you for such a lovely trip!
I would start with the view from the balcony, simply mesmerizing especially if you're a visitor from the Netherlands. Believe me, it is therapy needed. Accommodation is more than adequate specially the kitchen which suited us fine because we were traveling with our 5 year old son. Apartment is short ride from Bellagio. You have to get a little lucky with parking. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. One to remember.
I doubt there are enough superlatives to describe La Pinin. Principally, these would be about the staggeringly beautiful and dramatic views from the apartment, which - regardless of time of day or the weather conditions - never ceased to take our breath away: from watching the sun rise over the mountains opposite, or seeing its’ setting reflected on them in the evenings, to the closing in of a storm, this view was nothing short of stunning and truly 'far from the madding crowd'.
The apartment itself was everything we expected, and more. It was spotlessly clean and incredibly well-equipped, providing a real home-from-home (including the opportunity to do a little geranium-tending) and a good base to either travel around Como's coast, or to stay more local at beautiful Bellagio, only a 5-minute drive away. Here, there are a wide selection of restaurants, a couple of decent supermarkets and more gelato-eating opportunities than you can shake a stick at.
Having spent 4 days running about in Verona, we were content to spend a lot of time relaxing at the apartment. The living area was spacious enough to throw a yoga mat down and start the day 'saluting the sun', followed by breakfast on the balcony and a morning of either reading the online newspapers, a book or – because we’re really sad – accessing those emails that really couldn’t wait until we got back; there’s something about having the balcony doors and large window flung open that made it all feel so much less like ‘work’, and more bearable knowing that the reward would be a triple scoop of gelato for lunch! With the day usually rounded off with supper on the balcony, a bottle of wine and a game of Scrabble, we couldn’t have asked for more from our holiday.
The property was in a great location with lovely views over the lake.
Very comfy and equipped with everything needed, ie. kettle, oven, iron. The essentials but also some of the smaller items you don't get in a hotel.
Nice and relaxing after a long and tiring day walking in the mountains.
Stunning lake view apartment in pretty village of Limonta, less than 5km from Bellagio The Pearl of the Lake. Close to Varenna, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como as well as the numerous villas and gardens on Lake Como. These include Villa Carlotta, Villa Monastero, Villa Cypresi, Villa Melzi and Villa Balbianello, and Villa Oleandra home to George Clooney! Ideal for relaxation, walking and enjoying the tranquility of the lake and mountains. Plenty of good restaurants and shops in the heart of Bellagio making Limonta a wonderful place to return to after a busy day out and about!
