Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

Overview

About the property

1 bedroom, bathroom, toilet, sleeps 2, large garden around

The cottage dates from the year 1700 and you can find old items like small nests in the walls and the old manger of the cow who is now the dishwasher.

All the walls are in stone which insulates the house thus remaining fresh in summer. The wood stove is nice in winter when the days are cold. Although well restored, the atmosphere of the past is preserved.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, a small oven, fridge, coffee maker as well as pots and pans needed normally.

There is also a barbecue.

The sleeping area is equipped with a large bed and a wardrobe. At the bottom of the room there is a large shower, a sink and a toilet.

The swimming pool

On the ground is a swimming pool located outside the cottages. It is a pool shared with other tenants. The pool is surrounded by bushes and lawn.

Sun loungers and parasols are on site.

Albas is a small village on the banks of the river Lot.

I advise you to take a walk in the small streets and enjoy a splendid view over the Lot. You can visit the church which is well restored. There is a Multi sevice for bread, groceries to troubleshoot and for a dish of the day.

The region offers many possibilities. With many small villages that often have things to conserve such as, an old wash place, a beautiful well or beautiful churches. All these nice surprises you can find during your walk between the woods, the wheat fields, the vineyards and the sunflowers. But also cities like Cahors, Agen, Toulouse and Montauban are interesting to visit. Cahors with the Valentré bridge and Saint Etienne cathedral, for example. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and Rocamadour.

Prayssac is the nearest village for shopping. There are 2 supermarkets, bakers, butcher and press house, post office, banks and restaurants. On Fridays, there is a very good market with local and regional products. Cheeses, olives, fish, meat, fruits and vegetables is a huge variety for this village.

For sightseeing, you have, among other things, the Cave of Wonders and the caves of Pech Merle. Castles like Bonaguil castle and Biron castle. The Zadkine Museum is located in a very pretty village Les Arques.

Directly from the cottages you can make beautiful walks. For biking or mountain biking there are nice roads but it requires some experiments and very muscular calves. In the Lot you can swim fishing and canoeing.

And of course we must not forget: THE FAMOUS WINE OF CAHORS. It is one of the oldest vineyards in France. Many vineyards and their castles are to visit, with tasting and, of course, to buy good wine from Cahors.

In the lodgings you will find a basket with information and leaflets of all the tourist visits around La Framie. There is also a list with local restaurants. That way you can calmly choose what you want to do.

sejour tranquilité dans un gite charmant

  • 5 of 5
